Defection from the Mother Land

So round up of the comp yesterday.

TBH wasn't feeling too confident going in..was worried about how the shoulder would go but thankfully it held up ok

Weight: 56.3kg

Squat:

112.5kg good lift

115.0 good lift

117.5 no lift (depth)

Bit disappointed with the last lift as I have squatted 5kg more than this to depth in the gym but at the end of the day it is what you do on the platform that counts. I may have to go Derek Pomana style squats

Bench:

65kg good lift

67.5 good lift

70.0 good lift...2.5kg gain on last comp (PB)

Used my old bench shirt and got the result I wanted so really happy with that.

Deadlift:

130kg good lift

137.5 good lift

142.5 good lift...2.5kg gain on last comp (PB)

So stoked with my deadlift...fast off the floor!

TOTAL: 327.5KG...5kg gain on last comp total

WILKS: 383.73

Vid to follow

1st Place - Womens Open under 57kg

1st Place - Womens Master 1 under 57kg

Best Overall Female Lifter

New Auckland Records in Bench/Deadlift/Total

I received a gold medal, a lovely trophy, a tub of Mass Gainer (for coach  ), a tee/hat/shaker. Thanks APA.

Was a well run comp yesterday.

Of course none of this would have happened if it weren't for my coach Steak. Who.... wrapped, slapped, pulled, chalked and tweaked me  Thanks hun!!

So proud of our women's team yesterday Emma won her age/weight class, Rechelle won 2nd Open and 3rd overall woman, Rachelle won her weight class.

And the guys Rikki and Greg both 2nd in their respective weight classes.

After a very long day and having to have little nana nap :shifty: on a bench cos I was spent....we all went and dominated Lynfield KFC and then went to Maccas for dessert. Yes I got to have my cheescake yaye...now that's out of my system it is back to eating well.

So were to from here...

I think the Prilepins chart works and I think it is good for raw and a bit of auto reg stuff but in the gear the way that I did it...was very taxing as you were hitting maxes every three weeks. Ok short term but not so good for longevity

I'm going to have a week off training and focus on rehabbing shoulder and then going back to basics for lead up to the next comp!

Hey BB,

Awesome result, 3 PBs and a lot of positive's from this hit out, lifts looked very solid.

Great analysis, and good round up of your cycle. The platform is the place, where we test what we have done in training, some times it comes off, other times it doesn't. PBs indicate this went well, just a tweak here and there, and like you said, may not be suited for Equipped lifting, but you will have learned, a lot more about Equipped Training to help you in the future.

Thanks OB. Yeah I have learned a lot over the past few months and it has been great to be at the point in my lifting where I felt confident to experiment a little.

So after a week of no lifting at all, rehab on my shoulder and eating anything that I wanted to (was so good!!) I'm now ready to get back into it.

Clean eating begins again tomorrow as does Day 1 of my conditioning week. I'm excited to be going back to Boris and have no doubts it will be hard work! So for this next cycle it won't be huge lifts but just solid work!

It sure bloody is!

Week 2+ Monday's will be interesting with us all in gear for two lifts!

Yip we almost need an extra person each just to help us with our gear

Allow at least 3-4hours...so for you that means you won't get home till about 10pm :shifty:

If I ever decide to have a week off training don't let me ok.....yesterday conditioning week day 1 was hard :lol: squats felt strange and heavy and it was only lightweight WTF

Wait till day 1 of week 1!!!

I don't know about this time off business.....It's nice at the time, but it is ALWAYS hard getting back into it.

Yeah I might move the shirted bench to earlier on the monday otherwise come 8-9pm and it's time for the shirt to go on....there won't be anyone around.

Honestly this program expects you to have a training partner that doesn't train :? We were in there for 4 hours - mum hadn't even started training & it took FOREVER! Thank god it's only once a week!!

They need to design bench shirts you can get on (and train in) by yourself.....

Hasn't Titan done that with a new super shirt that you can adjust yourself and is IPF legal... now that would be cool 8)

Either that or we all just need to swig a cup of concrete and HTFU....do we want better totals or what (it's just the coffee talking lol)
