Competed today in the Auckland Bench Press Champs with a field of 17 lifters. Was the only girl competing :shock: so took out 1st place in my weight class under 57 (weighed in at 55.6kg) and Best Female Lifter Overall :lol:

Well done bar-belle! The only chick that had the guts to get in there.. Ka pai you :clap:

:lol: Thanks T. At first it did feel a bit weird knowing I was the only one with all the boys :shifty: but they were a pretty friendly bunch so it was all good.

Cheers T :) I have pulled 135kg in comp conventional but have had to change my deads style cos of the injury so am just learning sumo. And I really need it to be up where my conventional was for nationals...so this girl has some work to do :nod:

1x110 no lift buried in the hole. Good thing the big fella was there to catch me :shock: . Don't know what happened there but think I maybe more core work is needed? Probably hasn't helped having not been able to squat for a while :doh: Will talk with the coach but maybe also some reverse band work will help with the heavier weights :huh:

Back to see the chiro and the chinese accupuncturist for some more needles in the butt on Sunday :pfft:

we had a good pep talk over a afew Dunking donies and a Monster energy drink ..well that was me i think BB was having some Chop chop!

8) Good effort on the squatting BB :clap: thats what makes us human mate a miss is good for the books I reckon now and then makes us train harder if we got everything we went for it would be boring :wink:
