Squats feeling good today, have changed my grip to a narrower one and angle of arms which has helped le squat. I think this will be of benefit for stability especially when I get back up to having 100kg plus on my back. R leg felt ok after squatting. I'm getting itchy feet now I just want to get into the programme and see where it takes me :)

Watched PL tv over the weekend with vids of some women under 48kg weight class lifting sick weights...saw one girl squat 167.5kg and she popped it up like it was nothing :shock: . Admittedly she was in gear and I'd say tight gear at that but you gotta have the raw strength base to start.... ohh to be that strong :pray:

Last night

Day 2 week 2 conditioning:

Deads:

then played around with Sumo deads....

5x60

4x80 felt easy...I'm just deciding whether to do this cycle sumo or stick with conventional. I may have to test my maxes before next week though to see if my training numbers should be adjusted.

Incline bench press:

4x4x30kg felt easy was tempted to do more reps and sets but no stick to the programme

TPD:

3x8x30kg

Lunges:

3x5x8kg

FIN

Heading out today for another session of torture with the massage therapist and will do agility/flex training tonight.

Awww....don't forget the biggest deadlifters in the world all pull conventional...so it's not that lonely :roll: anyhoo haven't made up my mind for sure but I'll always be a grip and rip gurl at heart :grin:

Did my Agile 8 for the day and then decided to play around with some sumo deads....started on 60kg building up to 80kg then beyond to a PB :D . I'm liking sumo and I think it likes me....could be my new lift and also would have benefits for le squats :nod: . Steak made a litte vid of my training. Thanks babe :grin:

Can't wait to get started into my training proper now..but ....question ...if lifting sumo in sheiko.. deads to knees would be done with sumo stance right but what about deads from knees (rack pulls)? sumo or conventional..just throwing it out there cos I'm not sure?

Oh and always happy to share Steaks p/powder :pfft: :pfft:. Was good to catch up...deads are looking sharp :nod: but then you always have been a freak with the deadlift :grin:

Churr PNW. It felt comfortable and I'm thinking there may be some more in tank after a serious training cycle with sumo thrown in.

Agreed it's all about completing the lift. Though some pink shoes would have been a nice accessory :wink:

Cheers OH. I pull 135 conventional so I'm hoping I will be able to pull the same or more sumo :pray: with a bit of training. And I suppose I am taking a slight risk by changing styles 8 weeks out from nationals :huh:

Yesterday I began Day 1 Week 1 of Sheiko 37 High Volume... all I can say is that the next 8 weeks are going to be a hard slog but from pain comes glory right.

Wt: 56.9kg

My plan is to stay around 56.5kg throughout training over 8 wks. So just need to tidy up carbs really as my diet is pretty clean eating mainly chicken and fish. Last training cycle I dropped about 1kg in the last couple of weeks before comp and I don't think that was beneficial.

So this is what Boris served up to me last night..............

Looking forward to doing Agile 8 and mobility exercises tonight.

I have been continuing to rehab the leg, seeing my massage therapist every two weeks now and will see how it goes, the budget won't allow weekly visits :shifty: especially as it is not covered by ACC.

Focus more on dynamic stretches prior to training than static as I think this will have more benefit for me, just have to allow an extra 20mins or so in a training session for this.
