Defection from the Mother Land

My professional side says "do what the man says"

But personally...I don't think I'd quit training. I'd scale things back sure (and I do think that too much rolling and mobilizing can cause its own problems, but that's a different discussion), but I couldn't see myself stopping. Less volume, fewer grinders, that kind of thing.

Take with your grain of salt from Captain Muscle Tear.

ahh hip pain...welcome to the club :D

more like pain in the arse

I can't understand why the osteo would not recommend any stretching / mobility work unless he is really doing some deep tissue work to release that tight piriformis and is worried that any extra stretching could aggrevate it so would take his advice for the short term, but don't be scared to get a 2nd opinion from another rehab practioner.

yeah I though it a bit different too but will see him next week and if no solid plan then I will see someone else.

Just caught up on your misfortunes Rach :( That's a real bugger! I feel for ya chick as I know what it's like to be told you can't squat for a while  frustrating more than anything I reckon!

frustrating much....hopefully my bench will be the beneficiary of all this

But the up side is that I'm feeling amped about training for Nationals and it's time to get my mojo back

You will be rewarded for the pain you suffer now though  especially with the work you are going to put in to smash it at nationals.
