Well tis been an interesting week in this neck of the woods

After training squats on Monday I spent Tuesday feeling a bit shattered, Wednesday so dizzy I could hardly stand up.

Thursday felt a bit better so did my bench up to 45kg and deads but got through 2x2 at 100kg and had to stop as I was really dizzy and nauseated.

So I went to an osteopath today as I was sure it was something in my neck causing the problem..and sure enough C2,3 and 4 out and also T5. 1 hours treatment and man do I feel better..was beginning to think I would not be making comp next weekend :? So will take the next couple of days easy I think then into deload next week and will have a couple more treatments during the week and hopefully all go for Saturday  .

Neck is feeling so much better so decided to have another play in the suit...my last one before comp.

Squat:

3x30kg

3x40

2x50

1x60

1x60

suit on wraps: lifts with commands

1x70

1x80

1x90

1x105 didn't complete poor setup

1x105 PB and a good lift :)

2x80

Took vid of the suited lifts just to make sure I was on target for depth. That suit has so much more in it but today was not the day to be testing it or myself any further. Did lots of hammie and glute stretching. Deload now this week and back to the osteo to make sure everything stays where it's meant too

Hey guys thanks so much for your comments!! I'm pretty stoked with my lifts at the moment. Part of me would like a little break over Chrissy but another wants to continue the momentum and keep on with the Sheiko so I don't lose the gains I've made

And congrats to all the guys and girls that competed in the BBro...some awesome results and a really top class event by all accounts. There are some really impressive female powerlifters out there one by the name of Celia 52kg with a 130kg squat... now that is unreal  Can't wait to see the vids that I'm sure will surface in the next day or so  Next year I'm gonna go for a looksee

On another note I went to osteo today and he was pleased with how quickly I came right... tho he did look at me sideways when I said I trained yesterday :?.

Ok so this might take a while....

Wow what an awesome road trip. Left Aucks Friday arvo with Damo after picking up the crew Emma, Ross, Mel, Rikki, Haden and John. Headed down to Cambridge which took a wee while due to someone giving us the short cut route  of rolling hills and winding roads :-s

All in good spirits we had loads of laughs and as powerlifters tend to do.. the conversation always came back to lifts and food

Saturday morning we were all up really early. The nerves set in for me and had to force breakie down. Once at comp gear checks, weigh in and warm up happened pretty quickly. Anyhoo this is what I did.

Weighed in 57.5kg :D

Squat:

80kg www

90 www

95 www

Bench:

45 www

50 rww (foot movement on 1 side)

52.5kg no lift (didn't activate leg drive)

Deadlift:

110 www

120 www

130PB www

Won my weight class and came 1st overall in women's lifters based on wilks points. It was a long day starting at 9 and finishing about 6.30pm.

Big ups to Haden for running our cards etc and being awesome support. Gonna miss you matey :(

Bob26 and Tania came down to support us too bringing their 9week old baby (powerlifter in the making :) ). Thanks guys it meant heaps.

And also to MG was great to have you there supporting the crew. Hey Old Bull it was great to meet you and watch your lifting. You'd have to be pretty pleased with your total  .

So for our crew....

Our daughter Emma did us proud with her lifts...you are going places young lady...you pulled some excellent raw numbers

Rosco...first comp clean rounds and smashed PB's. Good stuff

Big John and Red Machine freakin awesome numbers being pulled by you both.

And Mel who is also a mother of 5.. smashed PB's and has a really promising future in powerlifting.

Last but not least a big thanks to Damo (Steak) for being an awesome coach and pushing us in our training, giving advice and managing/supporting the team on the day.

Post comp we dominated Cambridge KFC :pfft: for a bit of a debrief and a whole lot of calories before heading home.

So heres a bit of a round up for me for the year with comps and training etc.

July 25th: 1st comp: total 207.5kg

August 28th: 2nd comp: total 225kg

November 27th: 3rd comp: total 275kg

I'm really pleased with how training has gone this year putting 67.5kg on my total from my first Shieko cycle. Thanks Boris. I must also say thanks to Tonka for being our club mentor and giving us some excellent tuition.

So from here what to do...going to do 6 weeks or so of powerbuilding. I would like to add a bit of size to my upper body but keep the strength gains that I have made. And then I will be back in the USSR next year to see what Boris decided to give me

Ok that's me over and out. See you on the other side :salute:

Wow awesome awesome results rach!!!!

What a buzz to know you have increased your lifts by 67.5 kgs that is hOOOOOOOOOOOOge

Were your lifts raw? or did you use your suit..I'm guessing not with bench numbers but your squats have gone up heeeeaps since your first comp.

Well done to all at CBC what an incredible way to finish an incredible year for you guys....can't wait to see what next year holds

Absolutley awesome progress Rach!

67.5kg in 3 months. INSANE

Great to see what can be achieved when following a proper program (must have a good coach).

Remember during your power building phase.

2 more reps :pfft:
