Trained today with Scratch and Steak...so needless to say it was a 8) sesh with a few laughs on the side.

Bench/Squat today:

Flat bench: max grip

1x6x22.5kg

Short training day today but that's ok cos I'm now doing 4 days/week sheiko and then GPP so it was a little squat sesh....

Squat:

warm ups bar

1x3x30kg

1x3x37.5

1x3x42.5

Last 4 sets were using wraps. First couple of 60kg were a little shaky but seemed to get better as I went on. Steak got a couple on vid for me to review :?

Wide stance squat:

1x3x32.5

2x3x45 felt like I got good depth with these

Happily began my deads sesh today then after doing 2 sets conventional I was informed that today was deficits :doh: start again :lol:

Well my exciting news for the weekend was that my bench shirt arrived - a Titan Fury. Soooo of course yesterday I had to try it out for size. It was a good fit with the usual talc and plastic bags and a whole lot of pulling to get it in place properly. Prior to this I did a really good warm up of shoulders, triceps, biceps, legs and lower back etc.

Bench press: no shirt.

Shirt on:

3x50 3 board

It is so strange benching in a shirt.....the first set the bar wandered around and I felt that I had no control and in the second set on the 3rd rep I brought the bar too high and it came forward and if it wasn't for Steak spotting me I would have landed it on my throat :doh: But once I got the groove and the shirt settled in a bit it was good. I have potentially increased my bench by 20kg. But this is just the beginning I have a lot of work to do to get it right and be able to bench press in a shirt with confidence and a pause . And of course I have the obligatory set of welts and bruises to boot. Looks like I've been beaten up :shock: And despite the pain and tightness across the chest it was actually pretty 8)

Last night some of the CBC crew and a few others from NZBB went out for Mongolian BBQ and a few laughs. Was a good night out :nod:

I had great intentions today of doing some conditioning but to be honest I feel a bit shattered from yesterday so decided to chill today. Tomorrow is the beginning of week 3 which is always a hard one in Sheiko so I'm gonna get all the rest I can :lol:

Thanks Nessie yes I never dreamed I could do that...but still a long way to go and hard training ahead.

Yes you can wear them in PL comps and most people these days to do. Tools of the trade I suppose. Without equipment it is raw lifting and shirts/suits are equipped lifting.

:lol: it's not a magic bullet that's for sure.. but it does give assistance in the lift while you continue to try to gain raw strength. I will still be benching as per normal and just train in the shirt 1 x per week. You can get squat suits and deadlift suits as well :nod:

This almost escaped my eyes! Smack talk has increased, must be that high volume jaw pumping :lol:

Sheesh loose ya reckon, any tighter an I wouldn't be able to breath let alone grip the bar :pfft:

Steak reckons it is a good training shirt for me, might use it in Nov but I'll just see where it takes me.
