Have you done many of these comps before?

Cheers MG would have to say the deadlift is my favourite lift at the mo. No this is only my second comp, first was in July.

Hey thanks TFB...yes relaxing today and will take this week to reset my programme and may even do a bit of cardio(I know swear word huh) /conditioning this week but no weights which will seem a bit strange :shock:

Not training feels kinda weird!!

Today I have baked carrot cake, banana cake, choc fudge brownie and bread. I feel like Martha Stewart...heck better get back to training :pfft: 4 days and counting :)

was good to put abit of a dent in the cakes etc...man esp the bread nom nom!(walk inside the house, then get yr nostrils bombared with whiffs of baking bread!)

  • 2 weeks later...

Well it's a new week and now time to get A into G and back into training especially after my very decadent weekend escapade :lol:night out at Gengy's, 5 pancakes, maple syrup, cream etc etc and a calorie laden breakie in a posh hotel..all in less than 24 hours :naughty: bad barbelle!!

Did some GPP tonight, started with bike to warm up and light stretches, followed by farmers walks 20kg around the carpark x 4, 60 hits to the tyre, sled dragging x 4 round the carpark with 10kg on (sled 20kg) and then 30 hanging leg raises...I'll call that my entree :lol:

The plan is to spend the next two weeks on a conditioning programme before beginning an 8 week sheiko programme which should take me up to the end of November when I will do skills evaluation and see where the numbers take me. Can't wait to get stuck in but will be patient and do the conditioning work as instructed otherwise my trainer will be on my case :roll:

Very tasty...but you have to pick the right time otherwise you queue for ages... a gurl could starve while she waits. Pancakes =P~ Steak reckons he's gonna smash 10 platefulls next time he's there :pfft:

cheers TFB...I think I need to do a few more Sheiko cycles to see the real gains but it is fun along the way.

Good to see you back into it bbelle...like the look of the tyre smashing nd the pancake eating..panckaes are the only good thing about gengys i reckon =P~

Ok then crew dinner it is....you fullas name the date...we'll get a babysitter and our game face on :lol: Maybe sus it on Sat night?

More conditioning work as per programme today.

Light benching with low volume sets/reps... focus on my set up. Mean to start as I go on.. making sure I get it right so using Tonka's set up style :nod: .

Also did light squats only up to 42.5kg, followed by DB flyes and GM's and chucked some abs in to finish - upper/lower 60 reps.

details? ive been using the tate/Vikingpower style, finding that thats my zen.... setting feet first and backing up onto them..

Nothing tricky Scratch... just the set up that Tonka showed D and the crew. I was trying to do more of a Minx style but wasn't getting the hips high knees low during set up. And just making sure everything is tight, traps driven into bench and using leg drive...which was lacking at last comp.

Im using a tonka/tate hybrid 8) With the ghetto benches at gillies its the only way to set up without losing tightness

Continuing along the conditioning road today

Deads:

1x5x60kg

2x4x72.5

3x3x82.5

Incline bench:

4x6x30kg

Overhead press:

5x6x15kg :oops: lwb

Dips:

3x8xBW

DB lunges:

3x5

Bicep curls:

4x8

Stability ball rollouts:

3x12

150 red band pressdowns to finish

Bench and squats for Friday and may chuck in some sled dragging over the weekend and some GPP just for fun :lol:
