In recent news our new sub jnr Emma (who we are taking to comp) squatted a deep, fast 100kg last night at 60kg. Now just to get her to drop 2.5kg is 3 weeks...another reason not to bake you boys a cake

Go Emma that's impressive weights

Oh to have the flexibility of the young :(

I know :( I'm gonna have my work cut out for me to catch her on that one  much to her delight.

Training yesterday was a fairly light workload but man did everything feel heavy. Squats were laborious, and bench press, then board pressing was a real effort with only working to 70/80%. Partly I think due to fatigue settling in but today I have a full on cold, temp and cough. Don't think it's the dreaded Sheiko flu more likely something I picked up sitting in Starship with my daughter the other night  I'm sure a couple of days rest, fluids and some good drugs will cure all.

Woot woot deload week...though you could say I began deload last thursday really :? Had the usual sheiko workload and then a few deads to do - 5 sets 2 reps at 100kg. Was feeling pretty crappy and only managed to do 5 singles at 100kg and had to call it a day. Took myself off to the doc only to discover that I had a chest infection. So enforced rest and good old antibugs and I'm feeling sooooo much better.

Training last night was only light bench, little bit o squat and some light deads. One more sesh tomorrow - squat/bench and that's it till Saturday's comp.

Well this gurl is feeling a wee bit tired after yesterdays efforts. :)

Went to the Auck Uni/APA powerlifting comp. Was a very long but most awesome day and a bit of a learning curve too.

Didn't get all my lifts but got 1st place for my weight class so that was all good.

Here's what I did

Squat:

1st lift

60kg missed on depth 2reds/1white

2nd lift

60kg 3 whites

3rd lift

70kg 2 whites/1 red

Bench:

1st lift

42.5kg 3 whites

2nd lift:

45kg missed

3rd lift

45kg missed

Deadlift:

1st lift

100kg 3 whites

2nd lift

105kg 3 whites

3rd lift

112.5kg 3 whites

Played it conservatively on the deads

No excuses for missed lifts...it is what it is.. but know what I need to work on for bench...tighter set up, leg drive and next cycle will add more tricep and board work which I think will help.

Highlight of the day for me was seeing our daughter who has only been training for 5 weeks just get in there and give it her all and is now chasing me in bench and deads  Better get my game face on  And big ups to our team for smashing pb's and doing some huge lifts

The refs were firm but fair, the spotters and loaders probably had the hardest job of all during the day and did an awesome job...cheers Troy and Rueben for your words of encouragement on the platform. And thanks to all the boys and gurls who came down to support us

And last but not least thanks to my hubbie for coaching me and giving me the old pep talk on the day smiley-love006.gif

Ok enough of the soppy stuff. Next comp for moi is March 2011 but for now I'm havn a rest. Yaye \:D/
