A boring look at high ratio Extracts - With Bloodwork

Hi Guys

I have been looking into natural alternatives for a while and as we all know there is a lot of label fluff to filter through, I have been planning on different combinations of products and ended up ordering the highest purity extract's available on a few compounds, I will cap them myself and run it for 8 weeks with bloodwork on different intervals. I am still waiting on one extract and hope to have it in one weeks time.

I will post some boring info on some of them and my reasoning for including it. This combination will be geared at Natural Testosterone enhancement with a bit of claimed Nutrient Partitioning and Fat Loss by cAMP to give a recomp effect.

Not everything is black and white and everyone claims this extract is better or have an opinion on dosage, therefore I decided I will see for myself what can really be done with a Natural pill......There will be no hype or IFBB pros, only stats and bloodwork.

I am planning to start using the actual product in Sept.

Extract 1: Forskolin 40%

I haven't seen this yet in any product at a 40% extract and the highest I know of in a product at current is 20%, this doesn't mean much except that it can be dosed at 50% of a 20% extract.

Current Products claiming Fatloss/Test Boosting properties from this:

Biotest Alpha Male

Biotest Carbolin-19

Anabolix Xtreme MassFX

Instone's Forza-T

Applied Nutraceuticals Drive

Studies:

Sabinza Corp has a patented extract of this which was used in the following study:

Body composition and hormonal

adaptations associated with forskolin consumption in

overweight and obese men. Obes Res. 2005;13:1335–1343.

This was done using a 10% extract and a total of 50mg of extract per day in total. The effects obtained overall on the group:

-9,94 pounds Fat Loss

-3.45 pounds Lean Body Mass increase

- 33.7% Testosterone increase

The full study can be found here:

http://www.nature.com/oby/journal/v13/n ... 5162a.html

Hype and misleading the public:

Biotest has a product called Carbolin-19 They claim it is not normal Forskolin but a special extract.....

- Funny they use the Sabinsa 10% extract study results exactly as published for referencing their "special extract"

- If their product is better, why did they use the results of an inferior product to publish and even compare to mild steroid Anavar? See here

http://www.biotestaustralia.com/html/su ... study.html

They also under dosed their product at 20mg per serving as opposed to 25mg used in the study

- There is no research papers on their self named compound.

There is a lot of positive feedback on their product which make sense as I assume they used a standard Forskolin 10% extract and renamed it. If their compound exist and is better, why then use studies of another product...?

Dosage:

I will run 250mg of this which will give me 100mg per dayat a 40% extract

This is double the Sabinza study dosage, I have heard higher dosages like these with good results with a few people complaining of upset stomachs at the start of their run.

Nice one bro, Ill definately be watching this thread and your results with interest, I assume you have accurate weighing balances and capping facilities at your disposal?

Good to see some "backyard science" going on 8)

Are you just running the extracts or will you have other excipients/fillers in the caps as well?

This could be an expensive wee venture of yours, do you have commercial backing or is this just purely for your interest?

Anyway sorry for the Qs, just scientific curiosity :pfft:
