f*ck.

I really really need to be more consistent with my training. Seems every few months i start my journal again coz i've let it all go to shit. Well jelly.

I can only JUST fit my ass into my jeans at the moment :( boo feckn hoo and i blame the fact that I'm not allowed to run atm coz my effin knee. Having accupuncture a few times per week but its time i put some effort into training in some other way or soon I will have to buy a bigger size eeeeeeeekkkkk!!

I've put on 2kgs and its definately not muscle :? I'm pretty sure its chocolate.

So anyways here is my new diet plan curteousy of a very smart lady ( some of you may know her) and i will be planning my weekly workout routine tmrw. First gota suss if any boxing classes fit around my work hours (11am-7pm atm). Probably will be doing weights in morning and cardio in evening.

M1: oats and 1.5 scoops pp, 1/2 grapefruit

M2: 4 egg whites, 1 egg, salad

M3: chicken, broccoli

M4: chicken, veges

M5: fish, salad

This is the heaviest I have been in a few years and am freaking out!! Any suggestions would be muchly appreciated

Just try to be consistent Miss. And try not to freak out. Put yourself in control by coming up with a sustainable plan. And try not to be so drastic that it's too hard to maintain. Going to extremes is when people are more likely to fall off the wagon - fast losses = fast gains etc.

I reckon some weights will be great, and boxing is good too :)

Nice to know I'm not the only one to fall victim to "self-inflicted lard" ... but the good news is you can shift it!

The knee's a bit of a bummer but you can work around that, can you handle rotational/ non impact work like cycling/ellipticals ? Channelling all your energy into some weight work will help.

Getting an effective fat-loss diet (don't go overboard, around 300 cals below maintenance will be fine) and sticking to it will be critical - but that, and a measured programme of cardio and weights, should bowl the 2kg in 4 weeks... honest!

Like Rose says, it's about Habits. Get back into the routine, stay focussed, and within a few weeks you'll be fine.

Thanks guys. Yeh its consistency that I need to work on. I get all motivated and make my plan. Then i go to work and im the smallest one there and everyone else is eating McDonalds while Im eating chicken salad and i lose my resolve. I don't think that is the right word but I can't be bothered googling.

I need to become more accountable so Im guna keep up with my journal so I stay on track.

Gota pull it back....

The way i look at it is all the chicken salads/planning/motivation is going to pay the bills down the track ....where your co-workers are still going to be downing the grand angus combo and telling you how great you look, its there lost not yours, dont let others interfere/tell you what to do...Stay true to the path peachy, you can do it

It's one of the disadvantages of being a small woman. It doesn't take much to blow your calorie budget.

Maybe try to focus on food as fuel? You wouldn't put shit fuel in your high performance sports car, nor would you fill the tank too full so it overfloweth and ruin the paint job. Hmmm, that's a crap analogy  :pfft: Sorry Miss :shifty:

If you eat smaller meals more frequently, it might help to know you only have X amount of time to wait until you eat again. Bigger meals less frequently might lead to snacks etc.

I agree with this. When I was restricting my calorie intake I found that even 6 meals a day was too few. It was a physcological thing I think. The fact that I felt I couldn't eat made me want to eat.

If your telling yourself you can't eat food constantly then you are constantly thinking of food. If you eat eight or more times a day then (but the same amount of calories) then it takes you mind of it for a while.

Help people I need some help.

My knee is still causing me problems. I have so far been to two chiropractors and one oesteopath and two physios :(

My whole leg feels kinda disconnected from my body and has no strength. I thought it was becuase my spine was outa place and putting pressure on some nerves thats why I have had the chiro and accupuncture with the physio. My hip flexor is sooo sore it feels to me like all the other muslces in my leg are not working (mainly like the arse ones that support) and so my hip flexor is taking up the slack just to stabilise it. I have done all the things I would reccommend someone in my situation and now I'm stuck.

The pain I'm getting is the outside of my knee only when running. The physio reckons my knee rotates inwards so has me strapping the patella inwards. And also has given me orthotics which push up my arch. Feels like Im way to much on the outside of my foot. Now Im starting to get alot of pain in the top of my foot and Im worried its guna end up a stress fracture and I think its from the shoes. Its so sore when I wake up. I told the physio about it and she has given me a wedge to put under the big toe joint. That has just given me a super painful calluous and made walking and running even more painful. I really dont know where to go next. And my ACC is guna run out!!!!!!!!!!! This is really stressing me out and starting to impact on everything. Im losing motivation for all of my training and starting to notice the effects big time.

I'm going to go and see a new personal trainer at my gym and hopefully get a better programe in the gym that my give me sum more inspriation. But I really wana get back into running and walking. Anybody got any advice?? Or recommend a really gud physio or sumink??

I dont mind not running until its fixed but I just hate that all this time is passing and its not getting better at all. Its especially hard becuase the feeling in my leg is so hard to describe :(
