Hmmm so had another physio session today and ummm completely freaked him out. The knee has been a bit niggly the last few days and I tried to demonstrate how it feels like its guna pop out the side and how it twists all the time. Apparrantly the tibia?? is not supposed to rotate the way I can rotate it and he has never seen anything like it. So hes doing sum research lol before my next session.

Diet and training have suffered the last couple days (well actually been non existent eek! ) but that should change soon. Was offered a job on Wednesday in Auckland and they wanted me to start Thursday so drove down at 5am on Thursday morning and been staying with family. All happened so quickly and I wasn't prepared! But its a sweet job on the North Shore so now I'm looking for a flat and a new gym. \:D/

And a new PT. Suggestions please

Its very exciting because there is just soo much more stuff here!!

So until i get me a gym and a flat itl be walking (still no running boo hoo   ) and crunches and pressups etc... and diet will be as best as I can manage without offending my aunty who is one of those feeder types that try to stuff you with food

Lol yeh Im guna be a gym slut for the first few weeks and try them all. Got me a free 10day pass to millenium. Will try Les Mills and Albany Uni and Harbour Fitness Glenfiled and any others anyone can think of!!

Try out the AUT gym on akoranga drive, not a bad lil facility

Toms right millenium is shit except for 'the powerzone' and the north harbour rugby gym at the back of the stadium is fully sick! Too bad its only for meathead rugby douches

Yuss back in my old gym in Whangas today where I know where everything is and its never overly busy ahhhhhh................ 8)

Did a full body workout today from my last PT that has heapsa core stability exercises coz my back feeling a bit fcuked atm.

Then 20 minutes med to high intensity on the cross trainer and 10 minutes HIIT running on treadmill 1 min on 1 min off.

I think my inhalar isnt working for me atm coz even when I take it I can still cant breathe proper and my heart rate is getting up to 190 and 200 on the crosstrainer!!! I'm pretty sure thats too high right??

I'm definately not unfit atm but thats not normal aye? It drops down real quick after.... might ahve to check it with my doctor.. can someone tell me what it should be at??

On another note on my way to the gym had to stop at a pedestrian crossing to let a bunch of big boys cross the road and on a closer look it was the Canterbury rugby team. One cheeky boy winked at me and I just smiled sweetly coz I know my Taniwha boys will deal to him later hehehehe

Firstly I dunno how accurate those cross trainers would be, they measure it from handles right? If you really are worried about it getting a proper heart rate monitor that uses the band around your chest would be the way to go, more accurate. The old 220-age formula is really vague, can vary greatly between people. We got presented with a case of a guy in his 50s who had a resting heart rate of 100 and when they did a VO2max test he got his heart rate up to 240 or something like that, said he felt fine  Guy was perfectly healthy. You said it drops down quickly, that's a sign of good fitness as well, the quicker you can recover the better. I'd say you've got nothing to worry about, slightly inaccurate reading + you possibly have a higher than average HRmax. However if you started getting chest pains I'd say that's a fair reason to stop and see a doctor, but if you feel happy going to that level then go far it, it'll just make your heart stronger and fitter :)

:pfft: After some HIIT I was busy puffing away and told my PT my inhaler was not working to which he replied "You're not having an attack, you are just actually using you're lungs." lol Smart ass.
