Id just like to say thanks to the 'guys' (as in the male members) who have posted in my journal giving me advice and being relatively nice....thankies... the girls are doing nothing but getting their knickers in a knott... now this is one of the reasons why I say men are superior to women... lol...... even tho i'm a gal myself... but you guys can take the podium...

Girls AND guys have tried to give you good solid advice and you slap them in the face by saying this. They have taken alot of time and effort trying to help you in your journal BOTH male and female. They have all given you similar advice IF you had read it.

really? you sure uve been reading...

....wow

just my opinion ... yours is different.. do u see me complaining? :-s

When you first posted your journal everyone gave you as much support as they could. Which is what you asked for! You asked for their advice and everyone was happy to give it to you. You then go and accuse the women of being haters when the advice they gave was exactly the same as the mens.

In the end though regardless of who said what your statement is strange on so many levels. I am not sure how gender is solely responsible for the type of reaction you have recieved. Have you compared other variables such as age, location or perhaps experience in this field?

You are entitled to your opinion and so is everybody else. Don't post your opinion and then criticise others for having a different opinion to yours. You were after a reaction and you got it. Congratulations

Well again, its my opinion... it doesnt bother me if you have a different opinion. I never criticised anyone.

And my statement is strange to you becuase yours is different to mine. I just find that girls are emotional... and kinda bi*tchy.. in comparison to men.

And if you think they have been supportive then youre wrong... all they have done is say that i'll either fail... or that I am some other random named "Marosturdy"... and they keep calling me that... which I have not complained about until now.

You guys seem like you are obsessed with Marosturdy. Who is she/he? And more importantly, is she/he as good looking as me?

lets play nice ay guys

And emmzies.... yea i have thought about this long term... and ure right.... i have to train myself to choose not to eat unhealthy, fatty foods... I am actually going to write up a diet mission statement... where I'll write down some diet rules.... rules that will stick even after I've lost the fat.

I'm trying to get my reasoning straight... trying to stop thinking like a fat person. I guess Einstein was on to something when he said "You can't solve a problem with the same mind that created it".

Honestly, I'm not trying to be a hater, but 'diet rules', seriously? :-s

Sorry but this is the exact thing i was advising AGAINST, for many many reasons....

1. Its not a diet, its a lifestyle choice, particually if you don't want it to return.

2. 'Rules' are made to be broken - the more you have them, the more you'll feel like your restricting yourself..the more you'll feel deprived, which means the more you'll get cravings, which means the harder it'll be, which means less chance of success.... get where i'm heading?

3. Although your right to a point, there is no 'thinking like a fat person': there is just smart, well reasoned thinking, and irrational and spur-of-the-moment thinking which leads to bad choices. Its all about visualizing where you want yourself to be, and then realizing what you need to do/eat (or not eat) to get you there.

I'm not trying to be needlessly critical so please don't take this the wrong way. I've lost nearly three times what you want to loose, so i'm not talking outta my ass. I truly do wish you the best :)

Oh and.... to answer your question....

You guys seem like you are obsessed with Marosturdy. Who is she/he? And more importantly, is she/he as good looking as me?

Marosturdy can only be described as a NZBB "celebrity". lets just leave it at that shall we.

Before I reply to emmzies... Id like to post an entry regarding how im doing.

So...

yes this week hasnt been so good.. last two days I had died... did nothing but slept... all day.... and most of the night... guess its all the work I have to do... it's just too overwhelming.... i have 577878757 things to do..... including uni assignments... but eh no excuses ay... sleeping just to rid the thoughts wont help me... lol... makes matter worse

so I got back on track today.. its been a lil tough but good things dont come easy ay. It has been a tempting day but I have been a good girl all day

I dont like the treadmill so I have trouble heading to the gym.. on my bike. but again no excuses, i doubt anyone really likes the treadmill..... actually it might be good for me right now considering how much stress i am going through.

So bcus of the days I had gone into a coma I am going to post pone the day I have to weigh myself.. just for the 2nd week weigh in. I'll do the weigh in on Friday the 21st of Aug. I should be 74 Kgs. Right now 74-point-anything would be an accomplishment!!

I am just feeling so shitty these past few days.. could be pms or something like that.. dont know.. dont really care...i just want out of this depressive state!!!

then the 3rd weeks weigh in i'll go back to the normal day which is tuesday or wednesday ... as i did the first week.

Hmmm so wen i get to 74... there'll only be 2 weeks before I get to the 60s? hahaha... woooooooooooohooooooooooooooooo \:D/

anyways this diet better go according to plan ,,,, i am off on a holiday at the end of the year and i have bought all my clothes are in size 10!! and im a size 14 right now... i have quite wide hips.. i wonder if id fit into any of them... imagine if i dont cos my hips are too big lmao..... .. just to be on the safe side, i think i shouldnt be doing box squats... :pfft:

anyhusssssssssssssss..... i need to go for a run then take a cold shower...

peace homies

Marosturdy can only be described as a NZBB "celebrity". lets just leave it at that shall we.

1.Its not a diet, its a lifestyle choice, particually if you don't want it to return.

Firstly, it is a diet sweetheart, a diet can be full of junk or full of good foods or a mixture of both... whatever you put into your mouth is considered part of your diet. Although, depending on the context/circumstance a ‘diet’ can be just what you eat every day or something that helps you to attain a certain health goal (eg: detox diet, fat loss diet, muscle gaining diet etc). You can call this what you want, a life style choice, a diet, or whatever.

2. 'Rules' are made to be broken - the more you have them, the more you'll feel like your restricting yourself..the more you'll feel deprived, which means the more you'll get cravings, which means the harder it'll be, which means less chance of success.... get where i'm heading?

I find your response quite amusing.

You think rules are made to be broken? Well I'd say you can’t break rules, you can only break yourself going against them.

And to say “I won’t eat after 6 pm”. That’s a rule. To say “I won’t eat fat foods”. That’s a rule too. To say “I will exercise every day”. Yup you guessed it, that’s also a rule. You can even call it a law, a system, or anything that fits. At the end of the day, it was sticking to these ‘rules’ that helped you lose “three times” more than what I will.

If you still have arguments against that, well you can’t argue against the dictionary...

Rule : “a principle or regulation governing conduct, action, procedure, arrangement, etc.: the rules of chess.”

(by the way I doubt the person who sets rules intends on them to be broken  )

3.Although your right to a point, there is no 'thinking like a fat person': there is just smart, well reasoned thinking, and irrational and spur-of-the-moment thinking which leads to bad choices. Its all about visualizing where you want yourself to be, and then realizing what you need to do/eat (or not eat) to get you there.

Again you’re picking on wording, try to understand the crux of my statements. An unhealthy/or 'fat' person’s line of thought would generally be an “irrational and spur-of-the-moment thinking which leads to bad choices”. Whereas a healthy persons would generally be “smart, well reasoned thinking”. If you don’t change your mindset as a fat person then you will continually create irrational and spur of the moment thoughts (pro-fat thoughts) that will lead to bad choices and you will remain fat or become fat, so really you would have to change that and think like a healthy person.

Capiche?

I was going to ignore your response because it just seems ridiculous, but I don’t want you to think you’re right, because you seem conceitedly dogmatic and ignoring your response might tell you that I have nothing against your opinion thus giving you

s-a-t-i-s-faction.

You may have lost three times as much fat as i will ever lose but that doesn’t give you a PhD in psychology, fitness, or nutrition so stop waving your flag around so aggressively.

Fo fizzle shiz mami... stop wasting ma' precious time and get a grip of yo'self. Much appreciated
