Thanks steak. I'm happy with it. It was raw with no belt, wrist straps or anything and a good old bodybuilding style lift haha

I see on the NZ Powerlifting website to be benching at gold level you need a bench of 175kg if your under 100kg, so that's my goal now.

Tuesday, May 25th - Legs

Due to back problems squats are a no go so leg training is a bit of a fail right now. Tried to hammer the hammies a little more than usual as this is part of my plan in improving the tilt. Also tried some deep squats at 60kg and had little to no pain so it's a good sign but will be a while before i get back up to that 200 mark :(

Leg curls - 6 sets of 10 (various weights)

Hack Squats - 3 sets of 10 @ 40kg + maching weight

Leg extensions - 8 sets of 10 (various weights)

Legs are feeling a little sore today so happy that i have done enough. I need to get creative and find some good hamstring excercises however.

Wednesday, May 26th - Calves and biceps

DB curls: 10@12, 10@ 16, 10@22, 10@26, 10@30

Preacher machine: 2 sets of 10 @ 120Ib

Reverse grip BB curl:3 sets of 10 (can't remember weight)

Calve raises on leg press: 6 sets of 10 @ 160kg

Tomorrow is shoulders and traps so will start working out this muscle imbalance. Had my Xrays and tests with the Chiropractor today and get all the results tomorrow. However she did tell me that my whole back is under tension and my lower back on the left is off the scale and they couldn'tg et a reading for it! :shifty:

True, would be nice to man up and bench 175kg raw though. We shall see, you might have some pointers for me that will help me get a few extra kg's.

Flat BB Bench - 1@160kg (new PB),

Nice work... Next goal 4 plates a side?

Well, that would be awesome. Will see what happens. Went back to DB press this week and was strong. Didn't have a spotter but happily flicked the 57.5kg DB's up for a set of 10. Wish we had some 65kg DB's or something simmilar in the gym to try.

Had a good leg session on Tuesday, legs are still hurting today. Calve training lastnight was good also, starting to feel that now. Shoulders tonight which is my weakest area, i never seem to push myself hard enough when it comes to shoulders.
