I went a bit crazy last weekend. Did two intense 1 hour arm workouts in the same day.

what is the point of this ? you have no clue what your doing. hire a pt or get some help because what your doing is pointless.

Just relax. Hard week at work?

That is not normal for me. I have never done that before. Just didn't feel like I worked hard enough in the morning so I did it again in the afternoon and it turned out to be a little too much. You have don't have the full picture of my training so don't jump to conclusions saying I have no clue what I am doing.

Lol, was the second one concentrating on wrists while you were sitting in front of the computer at home?

If your doing 2 arm workouts in a day you have no clue, sorry but thats the way it is.

I find it hard to post what my workouts are when I don't know the name of all the exsercises I do.

how do you know if your doing the right exercises then if you don't even know their names?

Are you just trying to be a dick?

Seriously do you think not knowing the name of an exercise means you can't know what muscles are being worked by the movement?

Knowing the name of an exercise is the least important thing to know about an exercise.

Why don't you say something constructive?

Have you heard of the saying:

"If you don't have anything good to say don't say it at all"?

I have physical training instructors.

I don't know heaps about bodybuilding but that doesn't mean I don't get in the gym and do what I can.

Thanks becbec and emmzies.

Nah I actually wasn't - that was a serious question. I just thought that if you knew that you were doing the right exercises then you would know their names.

No your right, knowing the names is the least important thing to know - but its also the easiest thing to remember. Knowing the names will probably help you figure out what muscle groups are being worked and inturn will also help you know more about what exercises you should/should not be including in your workout

Most of them aren't particularly hard to name - have look on google, you'll find the names quickly.

Sorry I haven't meant to across as a dick, wasn't my intention - just wanted to encourage you to post more of the specifics....you haven't really included much at all so far about what you actually do in the gym.

guess ill have to be the one to sound like an asshole and tell you that you have made f*ck all progress.... eat more train harder should notice a lot more difference than that in 3 months if your just starting out.

Gotta agree with you there, its not about being an asshole or putting someone down though its about giving an honest opinion. Eat eat & eat

Unless your eating like a punk it'll probably be fixed by a decent split.

Why not try

Mon: chest an tri's

Tue: shoulders an traps

Thursday: legs (Squats an press)

Sat: Back an Bi's

Keep volume low, 2 to 3 exercises for each muscle. spend the other days off eating, resting, an growing bigger. Post up your diet mate. we're here to help you get big.

I wouldn't really say I'm just starting out.

I was weight training at lunch time nearly every day at school for 6 months before I joined the army.

I weighed 59kg before I started my 3 moths basic training.

After my basic training I weighed 69kg. (+10kg in 3 months, a lot of leg muscle growth)

Then I did just army physical training for about 18 months.

After that I weighed 75kg

And now I have done 3 months of weights and weigh 78kg.

I will record tonights training and my diet tomorrow and then post them up.

Sorry mate, but you are just starting out. Anybody that has trained properly for a while will look bigger than that. Your first few months are where you make your biggest gains in the shortest time frame - which you haven't done.

Get yourself a good split, learn what exercises you should include in your split, and start training and eating well. You'll notice the difference.

I gained +50% on my 1RM while training at school. Is that not considered a big gain?

And I thought gaining 19kg (adding about 1/3 of my original body weight) in less then 2 years while maintaining low body fat was pretty good?

I was the kid in my class at school that always got choosen to be the person being carried for any carrying P.T exercise. I was very skinny, now I am a lot bigger so I am happy with that.
