Deadlifts

Warm ups 60kg and 100kg

missed a 185 and putting that down to being fucked in the head :twisted:

Bit hard on yourself bro.

Just a thought, 140 for 10 on the way up is pretty taxing. Deadlifts are very physically demanding and I tend to keep my reps around 5 and even 3 if you want to head toward a max single. So maybe try this:

60x5x2

100x5x2

140x5

160x3

185x1 :)

Go heavier if things go to plan.

Reps on the way down. Again, I wouldn't go above sets of 5 on the deadlift myself.

This will keep you fresher for your top weight. If you need more warm ups do an extra set on the lower weights but keep the reps at the 3-5. The warms up are just that. Do the bare minimum and focus on the top weight.

Cheers Doc...the single was a spur of the moment thing and the 180 flew up...could have got more for sure but like you say the lead up to it was a bit high in the reps which was what i was doing this session but it all felt so easy :lol: i should really adjust my programme to include "proper" deadlifting and i may just do that in a few weeks when this programme is finished :wink:

re: eats....helps when you love eating eh mate :lol:

Nice work Cap'n.... I wish I could say that about my squats, but "flew up" in my case is more likely to be "threw up".... especially at that weight.

I admire your eating - I know if I want to grow, I'd have to eat that much, but I have to say I reckon I'd struggle to force it in...

One day I'll have to try, I guess :shock:

1.early hours... 50g P shake with 1/2 cup wheatgerm and a banana

2. 10 egg whites, 2 whole eggs, 2 cups of cooked oats, 1/2 cup yog, a pear and LSA with 2 cups of skim milk all over it...takes a large bowl :lol:

3. 2 cups brown rice, tuna and LSA

4. 2 cups brown rice, tuna and LSA

5. post workout shake - 50g P, 1/2 cup wheatgerm and 60g dext

6. 250g chicken, 2 cups brown rice, LSA and a tbsp PB - 1 cup yog to wash it down

to follow...

7. steak and salad, banana

8. steak and salad

9. sludge with blueberries for the nighttime

going to up the eats a bit to try and move the weight...been stuck at 125kg for 2 weeks but have got a bit leaner in the mirror. if not going to budge then i'll think about it then. will start with more cabs in the mornings and chuck in the sludge b4 bed

hey steak what is LSA ?

i use lsa, its a mix of ground up lnseed, sunflower seed and almond. awesome source of good fats, i just mix in with oats, the taste is maneagable.

cheap too 8) you can mix it with just about anything, rice, shakes etc I use it a tbsp at a time mate

Hey bro. I run the risk of asking a stupid questions, but... I always say to my students there is no such thing as a stupid question. :)

Can you talk me through your typical meal 1 and 2? Interested in how you have your wheatgerm? In with your shake or otherwise? And also your eggs and whites and oats etc?
