Just been reading back over your weight loss and initial comments back then about dropping some bench strength etc etc and now at a much lighter bodyweight all the power coming back. Good work Steak!

Thanks bro...been a journey that needed doing. Into the rebuild phase now and try to get some weight back on the bar. Bit of a head screw having the numbers drop but its only temporary and will hopefully come back up or better with some good ole fashioned hard yakka. Realistically, the clock is ticking though so I'll just be happy (read try to be happy lol) with what I can get.

I tend just to make sure there is good bar speed regardless of where I am in the wave..if it slows then it has to be backed off.

Agree that this is the key. Too often we all get fixated with percentages. It's about speed. :nod:

yep.... both comments right on the money its sole purpose should be about activating as many fast switch fibres as possible, i spoke with a bench only bloke in the states via face book and he told me for an example do 8 sets of 3 on speed days and each set must be done in under 3 seconds if its taking longer the weight is to heavy and back off some....rest time is 60 seconds between sets... most important keep your form.

Suffering with some kinda flu. Been a lot of band work lately and might be feeling that.

Roller and chucked in some hard ball work on scap and front delts - painful but good.

Each set to failure then rest 5 seconds and go on till failure again - insane intensity with you go I go stylz :twisted:

5xfailure as above with 65kg and 2 green bands doubled round sled and post :twisted:

....dropped off 20kg and did 2 more sets :twisted:

....dropped off 1 band and did 2 more sets till complete failure/headache/near vomit/lie on floor for while. :twisted: :lol:

Knocked over 100g whey, 75g dextrose, 2 cake slices, a pack of beef jerky and then race home to scoff a tin of spewna, 200g cottage cheese and an avacado. Washed down this down with a slice of cheesecake and another shake. Phuq yea :twisted:

Lean body weight - 110kg

Taking a week off training...will still follow diet. Havent had a break from training for 2 years so will be a good rest.

Will stepping up the intensity and hypertrophy work when we get back into it. Possibly even doing 2 sessions 4 days a week although Im yet to fully convince myself of this.
