Week 7 Day 1

Jeez what a culture shock this was....

Squat

and that was it. Easy peasy and the urge was there to do more but the fear of Boris kicking my puny arse from here to the Ukraine over ruled 8)

The whole week is a rest basically and next week is comp week so again very low volume and test at the end.

Eats have been good and not a single choccy passed these lips throughout Easter. Steak is the new chocolate :grin:

Altho I did my bit in a small way, by supporting my local craftsman master butcher. He was selling some tasty looking aged rump steak, which duly got eaten over the weekend.

4x5x40,70, 70, 100kg - played with band assist at bottom

Sumo deadlift practice - kept this light and easy as I'm toasted and dont need any hiccups right now

4x3x100kg - I may switch to sumo when doing sheiko as its a more efficient lift so far as toastedness goes :lol:

Odd joint pains, flu like symptoms without snot n shit, appetite down (force fed in 6000 though) and tiredness reign at the moment. I feel well cooked. OB..your take on being toasted bro? The more toasted you get the bigger the lifts will be :lol: ?

Bench was heavy, deads were heavy but got all reps. Oddly as the session was ending I felt better :lol: was just as well cos I had to force in the nutrition and go to the pub for a mates birthday. Managed to squeeze in a diet coke and some bullshit :D and now Im gonna force in some red meat. Red meat is sheiko medicine. 8)

According to Humphrey the russians use sumo cos' it takes stress off the lowback from all the squatting.

You are on track if you feel toasted and smashed, and there could be merit in the more toasted. Even after a few cycles it never goes away, it is a good indication of how the training is going.

Week 8 to look forward to Bro.

Week 7 Day 3

Squats - felt good, deep as, fast out of the trenches and my set up is a habit 8)

Bench was equally as good. Much tighter set up over the past 2 weeks, good speed.

Deads this week were only OK with the 3800kgs work but time will tell.

Speaking of volume ..it was light and I had to hold back and not do more!

Squat - 5100kg

Bench - 6000

Deads - 3800

...so only a smidgen compared to earlier weeks. Felt a bit fried again at the begining of the week but have fought it off again and the foam roller work has helped that. I gave it a good hour yesterday and will use it more often as required. GPP tomorrow and then rest next week with a very light workload.

Good lifting to my fellow comrades this weekend :nod: Its what we train for and its payday :twisted:

Eats

1. shake and PB sandwhich - early am

2. 12 egg whites 1 yolk, 3 cups oats, 1/2 cup w/germ, yog, milk, 1/2 grapefruit and a shake

3. 300g chook, bowl of rice, fruit

4. 300g chook, lots of pasta and veg, PB and trainsmash

5, 8 large drumstciks, pasta veg, banana

6. P/wo shake

7. 400g salmon, wholemeal pita, yog

8. shake

8900 cal
