Nice work with the triceps... especially the close-grip press :notworthy:

Guess that comes in handy with all the looting and pillaging (no, wait, that was the Vikings )

My cafe doesn't have cake, they've gone all Frog on me, with Gateau and friandes and brioches  ... but at least they understand that if there's space in my cup, they fill it with coffee, not milk! 8)

Cable press downs...then stripped weight off till failure in 10lb increments down to 50lb...nasty

Nice 8) I did this last night too! Sometimes, to see how far I've progressed, I do something BB stylez at the end of my sessions. I did rope pushdowns last night, starting at 100lb for 10 reps and decreasing to 30lb over 35 reps with no rest. It was choice! :pfft: I actually did it to show off a bit cos chicken legs was there doing them at 80lb momentum stylez  and I know I make him feel inadequate :jive: Please don't lash me chicken legs is a twunt and if you saw him you'd be all head shaking and haha tut tut etc if only in your head!

Brown rice 8)

:pfft: at latte! That's not a very pirate like drink is it?

over 35 reps...not getting a bit soft on us are ya

Im a modern pirate. We get to make up the rules of engagement as we go along..its quite cool actually. We still have a code of ethics mind you and should one of us of be found straying from the path then its a dead cert there will be strife...pieces of eight for the loss of a limb, etc etc

Wooden legs and clocks in crocodiles tummies, walking the plank and drowning in a barrel of rum...all things of the past. Nowadays its fast ships, fast woman, big wheels and bulging pecs 8)

Speaking of which...Im resting mine today 8)

Never! End of session and I was rooted by then. I thought it was a good token BBing effort actually after all the other crap I'd done :pfft: :snooty:

This is true...121kg as of this morning....hardly surprising as I've swapped the knife and fork for a shovel  8) eg carbs at lunch today was 3000kj of couscous which mopped up the juices from a 300g steak...only just had room for the apple

125 is the next goal and then 130 from there. And then its a cut...that will be a culture shock :pfft: but a while aways yet thank alah

Red meat, difference can be up to about a third. Depends on the cut, cooking time etc... Just wondered cos 300g cooked weight is a small feast om nom nom =P~ 8)

Yay re cheat! How old is the little person? :)

presuming the protien content is reduced then? If you say yes I can eat more steak...this is not a problem. If you say no then there is still no problem.

This is called a win-win situation we now find ourselves in - rejoice!

Little Peeps is 2 but eats those cakes like shes 12 and in offseason 8)

Its been quite voyage since I got back in the gym in May this year. Looking back over my first workout journal reveals some intersting things...namely...

1. I eat a lot better now....quality

2. I eat a lot more....quantity

3. I eat a lot smarter now...timing, right foods, right times.

4. I can now set realistic goals now that I know how my body responds to all of the above and for what its going to receive

5. I can diet down if I need to.

6. I can bulk pretty well and relatively leanly if I need to...and I do need to

7. I am getting stronger

With that in mind and with the training stepping up a small knotch over the past few weeks...

This report was brought you by the letter I.

I is for intensity

Intensity is what I am adding and perculating during my workouts.

Today was back, hammys and biceps.

Hyper extensions combined with the lower back stretches

10xBW

10xBW+5kg

10xBW+10kg

Wide Grip Chins

2xBW(121kg)...wait for it...unassisted! ...hmm.hmmhh errr Rose.. You'd be proud...I have taken a step closer to holy grail of 10xBW

10XBW spotted

10xBW spotted

Deadlifts

8x120kg

6x140

5x150

4x150

DB Rows

10X40kg

10x50

7x55

8x55

Close Grip Pulldowns

(chained 2 150lb stacks together and added 2 plates so 176kg me thinks)

10x176kg

10x176

10x176

Superset of SLDL and Lying Leg Curls

8x100kg 12x45kg

8x100 10x50

7x100 9x55

7x100 8x60

then a rep out on 40 kg...got 22 for it.

BB Curls

10x30kg

8x40

7x45

6x47.5

5x47.5 then dropsetted by 2.5kg increments to wind up at 20kg

Got a PB on the DB row (rep wise) and on the 150 deads too..again rep wise. Was going to go for a PB 1RM but thought of how little it would do for me today so will wait till I know I can crack say a 170-175kg lift :D

slowly slowly catchy monkey and all that
