Intro Tauranga Masters Looking to Compete Next Year

Hi all...rapidly approaching the half century and have decided to become a bit more serious about my training (and of course my diet). I did compete once before a good 14 years ago in Auckland and achieved my goal of getting up on stage and cutting out a bunch of weight.

Currently sitting at 105 K and starting to get some strength back in some tired old tendons. My goal is to compete is 18 months time at masters 50+. Since I am a bit rusty I would appreciate advice from time to time and am more than happy to pick up on any excellent advice I have already gleaned from this forum. I am endomorphic so naturally can put on some mass, and am 180cm. I really want to hammer my legs as I find them the hardest and most rewarding.

Once I get into some rhythym I will post some pics and schedules and of course ask for any advice you may car to share. Cheers

awesome im over the 40yr mark now so will be doing masters

age doesnt seem to be a barrier i think as we get older we can get more stubborn so better focused on training and goals

good luck and see you on stage soon be nice to have more of us older guys competing.
