ooooooooooooooooohkay

So

Some bad things happened yesterday

and some good

Good:

I had protein shakes all day

My muscles are OWNED from my workout yesterday somehow

Bad:

I cooked chicken for hubby and ate some

I may or may not have stayed up till 2am playing sims and decorating cupcakes

And I may or may not have consumed excess calories during this time period in the form of not allowed food

OHH dude. I justified it because I haven't been following the v-diet precisely as yet. Like I haven't been taking the right protein and too many carbs and just not following it strictly at all... and the way my mind works that is an excuse to cheat. that is going to change all right. So anyway, I'm counting my days from today, so this is day one on the velocity diet. I will do the full diet and the recommended plan to come off it, it is going to work for me.

I'm not worried about yesterday because tbh I knew before I started it was coming. Anyway, to all the haters -> I'm doing it.

Don't pay any attention to other people. Do what you want to do. But you already know that :nod:

The haters will die horrible deaths from ulcers caused by all the hating, roffle :pfft:

You know what makes me laugh? Fat/unhealthy/narrow-minded fuckers telling you what your should or shouldn't be doing without ever trying something.

V-Day 2 (lol)

OMG DOMS. Most extreme DOMS I have ever had from my first V workout on wednesday, to the point where when I laugh I want to cry lol. Which makes me want to laugh more... epic.

So anyway here goes - I realised when I was doing my reverse crunches , hey, I can't count for shit. For some reason I figured if I was doing 8 reps I would need to do 4 sets to get to 40. UUUUUMMM... hellooo... no wonder I left after 6th form... anyway minor f*ck up.

Reverse lunges (40kg PB?)

8,8,8,8 BURN

Bent-Over Row – barbell (32.5kg)

8,7,8,7,8

Push Press – barbell (22.5kg PB?)

8,8,8,8

Barbell curl (20kg ow)

8,8,9,9

Reverse Crunch – on floor

10,10,10,10 - looking uber retarded and facials to go with it... woot.

I have never ever really worked abs before, and well, holly crap they hurt so so bad right now. I sit really close to my desk and the slight pressure if I sit up and touch my desk is like enough to make me cry...

WOOT!!

Shakes, shakes and more shakes.... shake and bake bitch

I can spam my journal right? Yeah.

So my abs are KILLING me. So sore I feel sick, awesome, I felt like such a retard doing the ab wheel thing because I could hardly even roll the full way out, awesome...

The best $20 pc equipment a gym owner can invest in - AB WHEEL :twisted:

wow that comp was a mix of intensive, impressive and lols. And I'm never going so long without food again lol

Well tomorrow morning is my weigh in for my friends comp so will be interesting to see. I've only had 3 proper days on velocity diet but did have 2 half assed days before that so I'm sure it will count for something.

Oh and bikini model class, LOL..................................

down 1.2 kgs very happy with that. am now at my lowest weight in quite some time, need to cut down about another 6-8kgs and I will be a very happy chappy. Its cool to see that drinking protein shakes actually works haha.

I feel pretty good on the diet now, I'm not hungry often but when I am I'm some kind of cranky bitch so lookout :pfft: haha. Then I have a shake and I'm all good again.

My body has never been so sore, I didn't realise the workouts were so intense. I've been doing the sideways crab walk or zimmerframe GR styles for way too many days now, my glutes and legs and everything are just killing. Not to mention my abs. Holy crap.

Did the "v-burn challenge" today, kinda looked at the programme and thought oh yeah.. meh. 51 mins later drenched in sweat my opinion has somewhat changed...

* A1 Jump Squat

* A2 Hand Walkout – from knees or toes

* A3 Single-Leg Deadlift – arms out to sides

* A4 Push-Up – clap

* A5 Rope Jumping or Jumping Jack

* A6 Reverse Lunge – twist

* A7 Pike Push-Up

* A8 Squat Thrust

10 reps of all .. repeated 6 times over yowee

Man I had a good day yesterday. Have had insane DOMS for over a week now, it is quite an interesting experience!!

Yesterday I won a regal salmon hamper from real nutrition!! WOOO!!! I know what I'm having for my SHM!! (Solid healthy meal - one per week on velocity)

So that was freaking sweet. If only I wasn't on velocity I would be living on delicious smoked salmon haha but at this rate my family is going to be inheriting a lot of it.

Workout this morning was incredibly intense, 45s rests are so so hard. Makes me realise how long I was resting for before though!!

* A Deadlift 5x8x60kg whole body shaking at end

* B Decline Dumbbell Bench Press – neutral grip 5x8x12.5kg db

* C Pull-Up or Lat Pulldown – neutral grip pull up assist on 12 wow when did i get weak on this??

* D Hand Walkout – from knees or toes - ok seriously my abs were singing from these on the weekend, I did 4 and actually felt like I was damaging myself. SO stopped and tried to stretch out abs, fuk they have been in so much pain for so long now ... :(

Oh and I feel great!! My grumpy from low carb is over, and my jeans are feeling looose which is a world first for me, i used to have to lie down and wriggle to get these babies on lol now I can wear them every day very comfortably.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hey guys, yeah I did hurt my arm pretty bad snowboarding :)

but pretty much all good now, just not quite ready for lifting weights.

So my 2 week stint t velocity diet ended hehe. However I have to say I pretty much love this diet and can see myself using it again and again. Not only that but it has really helped me with my binge eating. I'm back to loving protein shakes and pretty much have one for breakfast every day, and a few more - 3ish) during the day and then just a chicken meal for dinner, and salad for lunch.

Im doing gym tour de france which just involves cycling at a stupidly high resistance for way too long. So my fitness is slowly getting better although my joyus excercise induced asthma has returned with a VENGANCE from a 5 year vacation.. so I'm not exactly enjoying it. But I'm not weighing myself or anything until this tour de gym is over.

I'm trying to keep in weights workouts once my arm is better (mid next week I guess) but I have still been doing legs and abs - really all I can do at the mo.

Fantastic Laurasaur! And glad you didn't hurt your arm too badly.

I've have heard the Tour de Gym is a blast they had it at CP in K'Rd last year, where are they doing your one?

This is at Auckland Uni gym :) Yeah it would be good but to be honest I am really stuggling, I shouldn't have had such a long break from running because I just feel so unfit hehe but I know it will come back fast. Anyway cycling 20km every day or so has gotta be good for me, I just can't push too hard or I can't breathe hehe :P~

wow maybe I spoke to soon.

Just got back from the gym, was meant to be doing the hardest leg (i think) but decided there wouldnt be enough time to do it before the gym closed haha because my breathing is still rather restricted.

So did some dl's, 3x60kg, then felt this weird feeling in my arm like a little pop or something, didn't feel too bad.. then looked at it and there is this bump on it, reaaaaaaaally not cool.

*SIGH*

Did some shoulders before 22.5kg upright row 8reps 3sets new pb, and press just one lot of 22.5kg before i decided I shouldn't be doing that with a lumpy arm, lol, sigh.

Damn my fat thighs, I really need to crank into some dieting and shift this fat off them..

Hey Laura - maybe its time to check out a personal plan from the people at Real. :nod: They'll work out your lean mass and factor in your exercise so that you can get as lean as you want. If you are getting sore all the time you'll have high cortisol. High cortisol not only sucks up all your progesterone, it slams the door on fat burning. So the only real way to get leaner through your lower body - is to get your food plan personalised based on your starting point, end goal and base calories.

Anything else is guesswork. True story.
