Diet:

I'm taking some Syntha 6, some plain isolate for my blended shakes, and probably some EAS or metabolic drive when my Syntha 6 runs out.

I'm supplementing with multi vitamin and fish oil caps, will get some superfood at some point and also look into a fat burner but I'm not so keen for random chemicals.

How long do you do that for??

The syntha 6 is damn nice but a bit more expensive and has a few more calories than other powders.

Good luck with the velocity.....hope you fly ahead...

Yeah I love my syntha 6. I've got 2 tubs of Chocolate and Mocacino both with about 1/4 left in them.. NOOOOO.. hehe.

The main phase is 4 weeks long, then you have a 2 week period of re-introducing more solid meals, then gradual transition into eating 80-90% real food again or whatever suits you.

Cheers, I'm looking forward to it :)

hi there , hope the v diet is working for you, i have a small question regarding price of this diet..i subsrcibe to t nation where chris stughart advertises this plan and from what i can see it would cost an arm and a leg to buy .

Am i right, how many metbolic drives would you or have you been through in the v diet.

Also do you use hot roxxx or something else, coz arent they banned from NZ.

Sorry if i missed any of this as i skimmed through the prior posts , cheers

duh, sorry just saw your diet and how you modified it , never mind the response...good luck all the same

Yeah you can get metabolic drive for $80 so it would cost a fair bit. But just sub out whatever fat burner you like and get some equivalent protein and you could poteintially follow it very closely.

Day one of protein hell

Well I certainly chose a bad week to start this diet. My partners birthday and my dads, brothers and grandads birthdays are all this weekish so have been flat out decorating cakes and making dinners etc. Not to mention an order of cupcakes to make for friday also. Sigh, all good fun though.

First two protein shakes of the day were fine, had about 3 cups of green tea throughout the day and and absolute truckload of water also. Lunch time.. well.. I had a little too much pb so no shake. Learnt my lesson from that and removed the pb from my work, haha. Arvo shake I had, wasn't even really that hungry and didn't get through it all.. what I did drink took me an hour :/

Had a big gap between that and my evening shake. Which was delicious. My evening and morning shakes are the best because I have a blender so blending with ice makes it tasty tasty delicous for me, mini mouth orgasm.

Sleep now, workout one in the morning, heavy weights of squats, lat pull down, db bench and ab wheel roll out? What the hell is that.. off to google it now.

db bench 14kg 5,5,4,4,2 sweating like a rapist by this stage

lat pulldowns 43kg WUT 5,5,5,5 -> PB

ab wheel roll out WTF i have no ab strength this thing almost killed me. need to research how to build strength something like 1,3,2,2,3,2,3,etc lol

still workout seemed amazingly short out of gym in 40mins, just the way I like it. Skulling back shake #1 right now... WORKEH time

So my abs are KILLING me. So sore I feel sick, awesome, I felt like such a retard doing the ab wheel thing because I could hardly even roll the full way out, awesome...

Heh, ab wheels are awesome. It's one of those as-seen-on-tv things that you find tucked away in some dark unused corner of the gym. People buy them cos they look easy then find they can't use it so off it goes to some dark recess in the garage only to end up at the tip or in a garage sale... :pfft:

I love them. I don't care if doing it looks ghey. Using one of those things is fucking hard and kudos to anyone who can master a full roll-out.

I found these resources in my favourites, dunno if they're of use to you but they helped me, first one is good (it has pictures, woot!):

Yeah I was pleasantly surprised when I saw one in the stretching area of the gym :) I saw those links last night believe it or not when I was searching to figure out what the hell it even was. Man, I can't wait until I can do a full one... The people who do it from standing are insane O_O

LOL Deb its basically meant to be a low carb-ish protein shake diet ONLY with one solid meal of chicken/veg a week.

.

.

I KNOW!!

That's a common question from those who haven't read much about the Velocity Diet, and V-Dieters themselves are sometimes faced with this question from coworkers or family members. Here's the scoop. The V-Diet:

* Provides four to six meals per day. You're eating a few hundred calories every three hours or so. That's hardly "starving."

* Has more calories than most popular and widely accepted diet plans, ranging from those based on clinical weight-loss programs to the canned-drink plans advertised on TV.

* Provides over a gram of protein per pound of body weight (except for obese individuals, of course).

* Provides more healthy fats, especially omega-3s, than the average non-dieter consumes.

* Provides more fiber than the average non-dieter consumes.
