Thanks for the feedback everyone ... :D

Thought I'd update tonight. has been an odd week of training. Finally hit 130kg flat this week after a heavy session of squats on Saturday - Tried a single at 220kg but it didn't look too tidy - the weight went done and up but I have found my right side a little more inflexable and couldn't get depth with it - was well up.

Suspect I'll need to widen my stance slightly in order to move the weight back a little on my feet.

Didn't rack it again as I was pretty gased and the soft tissue around my knees was a little too sensitive. The positive is I had done quite a bit of volume in the session which has resulted in a nice even dose of DOMS.

Were a couple of seasoned "Gunslingers" training on bench moving some good weight - Steak said they were WPO guys looked pretty smart with a 180 Raw bench at the peak. 8)

Deads on Saturday was an average session stayed @ 240kg and then switched to racjk pulls at the end of the session 280kg for 3 (strapped to the bar). Trained Biceps for the first time in ages.

Chest today - finished work early - needed a mental health session to deload some overload at work. Good warm up // with some standard sets 140kg x 8 ... thought I'd pop the 180 on for a couple of short reps but my left arm colapsed under the weight (not happy).

So pulled it back to 140 again and push 8 reps again and the 160 x3 (shoulder was a bit tender). A bit of fatigue in my biceps suggests they engaged during the eccentric phase last week @ 200kg > felt the same burning sensation again.

So assesment this week is that I am probably in desperate need of a deload week - just to let everything calm down a bit and get a full repair. Pretty timely as I'm off to indo next week. May get into a bit of cardio over there to keep my mind fresh and drop the bf a bit.

Not sure I'm going to hit 135 by Sept > don't want to push the bfat up higher than it is at the moment so will likely drop back 3-4kg and then increase slightly each week until I get closer to the CBC 3 lift. Should make for some lean gains in between now and then.

Not sure ... Steak said it happened a few times in a suit with him. Feels like a burning nerve if that makes sense - completely drains strength out of my arm. Interestingly I have had an uncomfortable pump in my biceps all afternoon > just starting to calm down now.

Id did manage to finish the last half of the workout though and push 50kg d/bs on incline for 8 reps. Went a bit lighter on flyes and pullovers though.

Probably a bit overtrained if anything. Definately feeling a bit fatigued.

Had hoped to catch you tonight as the "Madness" were in and we could have goaded them into a forced pose down in front of "my mirrors" :lol:

We going to have to get them cut down to size soon, I think they are getting ahead of themselves!! :nod:

Back to the arm issue, does this happen on the way down or onthe way up. I have had a problem for a few months now,it comes and goes, very much like a pinched nerve. On the way down I get about thre quarters down and my arm just folds in and I loose all stregnth. Cant explain why it happens. It is not painful just more of a irritation.

It must be the same thing then. Have you injured your arm in the past, strained or pulled muscles? Mine started happening when I lost a db backwards while setting up to do db bech press. I cant seem to pinpoint where it comes from or how to rehab it.

Not for a long time ... my rotator was a little sore as well so it could be that I caught a nerve in my shoulder which could explain the pain through the bicep also. Rotator is good now though > ROM is even on both sides so definately didn't blow it.

I'm starting an experimental treatment from Monday onwards ....

Hope you enjoy your experimental treatment :pfft:

It was boring mate .... 30+ degree heat, 100% beach and waves and world class dining at a fraction of the cost :grin:

On a more positive note .... weighed in at the airport at 129.5kg ... no composition change in 3 weeks :lol:

Back to training this weekend to begin the build up to the CBC 3 lift. Have had some issues over the last few weeks with my hip but I hope to iron it out over the next week. If it doesn't come right I will struggle to squat anything on the day without a heavy dose of voltaren.

Looking to cut back the weight 3kg in the next 4 weeks ... so my eats will be lean from here on. Have a basic nutro plan set up which should bring performance up a bit > focus is on full hydration and maximum glycogen availability on the day.

No Hammerheads unfortunately ... my hip gave out after the first 4 days. Combination of a lot of walking and a lot of time running around on those little bikes.

Kudeta was great - missed their 11th b/day though was a huge japanese theme. Trip was awesome ... wife sick of locals calling out "Hey you big body man ... nice muscle yes" :lol:

Went up to Amed for 2 days - amazing view from our penthouse over looking the ocean. Nearly fried a rental bike joy riding around the coast with the mrs ... not designed to hold over 200kg :grin:

Nice easy session last night:

Warm ups - stretching between sets. (d/b flyes and press 20 rep sets)

Flat Bench ... working sets only:

100kg 5 sets 5

120kg 5 sets 5

140kg 5 sets 5 reps

No failure // just easing the elbows and shoulders into it after a 3 week break.

Dips 3 sets max rep body weight > but not failure

Feeling good today > wil revisit chest again within next 4 days.

Squats tonight ...

Calories avg today ... just on 4th meal now.

v-lite squat session today - with lite DL and Military press.

Some good stretching through quads and hammys at the end.

Limbering up - legs feel good / strong. Little tension in knees which is why its softly softly - wil hit them again Wed night prob.

Weight has drop 3kg - can see a difference in water comp all around which is welcome at the moment. Brings me in closer to even with the dark one.

Happy to drop a few more as we go as long as I'm feeling as good as this.

Nutro strong - start my strength conditioning diet next week and adjusting water etc as I go. Should be fully dialled in based on where Im at.

Nice easy train tonight -

Chest feeling good - benching @160kg for reps .... no niggles / bumps or grazes. Have the closed grip sorted now.

finshed up tonight with lite DLs singles @ 10kg intervals from 100kg no belt ... 240kg was easy.

Auxilleries tomorrow then Lite/med squats with traps on Sat.

Body weight 127kg tonight > nutro clean all day. Tuna, Tuna and more Tuna.

Opti back in the house and looking strong.

The Team is back together and in training, its going to get messy but thats sorry for Team Madness.

Going to be a good session tomorrow, eat and rest up, we are going show them how its done!!! :rockout:

Well 17 days till my first ever 3 lift comp ... pretty excited really.

Lite chest session tonight. Everything is on track no injuries, sprains etc. (Very rare for me not to be challenged by something. Body weight has drop to 126.5 despite some heavy calorie days.

Tonight:

Warmed up shoulds with some supersets. Had a slight niggle in my arm which clear once I got moving.

Flat bench (no belt/wraps at all)

2 sets 10 @ 60kg

2 sets 10 @ 100kg

3 sets 6 @ 140kg

2 sets 2 @ 160kg

1 set 3 @ 160kg

d/b flyes 4 sets 12 reps @ 20kg (lite as)

Dips 4 sets 12 @ bw

End

160 is very easy at the moment - locked and loaded for the 17th ... just maintaining between now and then - no need to jinx it as I'd say 180kg will be the tick in the box - anyting beyond that will come down to how I feel on the day.

lay day tomoro then will probably squat. Session with Traps over weekend saw 200kg come up easy and with depth. Squat is still the most challenging due to my hammies being short but Im making good progress an should be able to stay close enough to the pack to stay competitive.

DL feels strong - havent tested my max for sometime ... I'm easily pulling 240 now without a belt so hard to say where I'll end up but I have a figure in mind which will give safe points on the day. Again saving the test for the day.

Hopefully this bodybuilder is going to hold his own against the Pling hardcore.
