Not apples for apples bro - Panzer is in a different class (Equipt) - He's pulled out at this stage wanting to take a break before NAts ... so its openned up again. You're lifting RAW - not sure if colm and Wookie are but I assume Danni will be equipt.

Not many guys win thier class first show - this lift will be a good intro for you - the'll be another club lift and another potential "rogue" show planned for later in the year. You always do better in the second one - balance the nerves etc. (My deadlift went up 30kg+)

mmonia capsules have been ordered from the States,

Android doesnt muck around.....straight to the A-grade, nice :clap: :clap: :clap:

Need to put yourself back in the line bro - not many heavy weights and your 300DL will be a welcome sight - trainings training you have more of a chance than me at the moment. :nod:

Colm will be raw, and Im assuming wookie and Danny will lift raw too, I believe Danny wants to do the oceanias raw so I think he will be doing the same at kos.

The big boys will be a good showing!

Errr...I'd like to extend goodwill to these mammoths with an Android special breakfast of re-heated chicken and raspberry soda. Just the name Wookie freaks me out already!

Opti - what or who has a 300 DL? ... not me :shock:

300-315kgs...Just judgin by what ive seen him pull in the past.

Android here is my run down on how I think the big boys will go in order of squat/bench/deads

Colm - 220/170/290

Danny - 305/165/280

Wookie - 320/170/310

Opti - ??/??/302.5

?? Is about right mate - I don't generally train to full max's and my squat is still a bit green. Bench will depend on the day - if RAW I'm thinking at this stage ... 260**/180/302.5**. I'm grinding DL @ 260 at the moment - but add in my hydration protocol and some good old fashion adrenaline and I seem to summon up the extra power on the day.

I'd love to be able to squat 300+ RAW one day but I've got to be realistic, I've only been squating properly for just over 12 months .... training 18 years and still a newb :D(so much still to learn).

North Islands in 10 weeks time, Auckland Bench 2 weeks after that. Gotta get some volume into the training in as already so early in the year and 2 powerlifting comps done and dusted with increases to totals for each, can you believe it! No nice holidays and walks for me!

Plus you'll need someone to lift that 240kg off your chest at the CBC comp. :wink:

back routine today ... had some big calories midday so was keen to get a good session in.

Tonights workout was jacked with "K-OS" care of BSC Supplements who are sponsoring the CBC 3 lift this year. drop 1 scoop 2.5 hours ago with a blue monster energy drink and Im still dialed in as I type :nod: :clap: .. can get BSc via our NZBB sponsors web below - but if you want K-OS you may need to come up to the event on the 28th as there is only a limited supply left in NZ now I think ...

DLifts 6 sets last 4 were at 180kg @ 3 reps each and then did 1 rep every 2 minutes x3 (no belt)

Upright rows 4 sets 35 kg @ 12 - 15 reps

One arm rows 3 sets - last 8 reps at 80kg (Full Moon form)

Lat pull downs 4 sets/12 reps - last set stack - strict form.

4 x Seated d/b Shrugs 42kg 12 reps / superset / Leg raises horizontal / superset ezi bar curls 12 reps 30kg (slow eccentric)

Bike for 5 min warm down

Squating tomorrow. :D ... after digging out a trench in my back yard - should be interesting.

Will be interesting - based on what we know so far I wont have any competition in my weight grade if equipt - so may compete raw - but this makes me a bit nervous around my bench - part of the attraction to equipt means Im less like to blow my shoulder out again ... lots to consider. Either way I just enjoy the day and focus on bettering myself and supprting the team in their efforts. Will you be coming to watch bro? Or maybe keen to jump in ...

Danny is an Olympic lifter - so his training is more functionally aligned to that. So DL and Squat may be more developed than bench as a result. In saying that a 170kg raw bench is still strong -

Colm is an MMA fighter - if you google him you will see a few fights up on youtube. Thick upper body - strong too - his involvement is great as we are likely to see more crossover athletes in PLing - exciting times.

based on my experience so far bbders seem to have the advantage on bench as they generally have thicker muscle across shoulders/chest and triceps. but they are more likely to have shit technical ability when it comes to DL and Squat - you can still perfomr a squat for reps with poor technique and achieve growth but in order to deliver your best 1RM you have to deliver the perfect rep. Nothing some focus and time cant correct.

Having a bit of a nightmare run at the moment ... just little injuries taking away focus - to day was a bit day none the less.

Have a blister on my left palm that is the size of a 20c coin - burst a few days ago and it drys and cracks, dry and cracks ... very painful - will be interesting benching this week. And then my right forearm and bicep havent been the same since I rolled the 220kg last week in the shirt. is feeling a bit better now but I have been on the voltaren and painkillers -

Dug out a trench in my back yard today which isnt ideal but I need it concreted before the end of the month - kind of treating it like cardio - hard work - took about 3 hours as its mostly clay and hard pack dirt. Load I dropped of at the landfil weighed in at 1200kg :shock: ..

Once this was done I met Android up at CBC to check his bench setup - did a basic skills squat on my own - last 3 sets 1Rep @ 220kg - grinded out. Was complately gased after the excavation so it was not a bad effort. Couldnt have done it wothout the 2 serves of cursed and one serve K-OS plus a blue Montser ... I'm feeling quite good now anyway lol - wired to buggery :lol:

Training this week - 1 x volume chest train - tomorrow night. 1 x volume Leg day / 1 x deadlift session and will squat again next weekend.

May look at a Sunday session in the shirt - will let it be the desider as to whether I lift equipt or RAW on the 28th. Must get a touch.

I'm going to try get in a deep tissue massage for Friday (2hours) full body - this should free up my arms and legs in time for the event.

Feeling pretty confident anyway as far as being in good condition for the CBC.

BW still 120kg even so still have the option at this stage of picking my weight grade. Wait and see.

Opti will be awesome to watch at K-OS. Definitely a massive future in PL for you Opti. You were awesome at the CBC last year (no homo).

Yeah man, no excuses here, my bench is down right weak :oops: 180+ Raw is minimum for a HW I reckon - something I'm trying to get to :pray:

Man, I don't bench enough to get my numbers up - but bench is my favourite lift of them all - has been since I started training as a youngster :nod:

Dont think Colm has done mma for a while he is NZ strongest man now :) I think of one of the boys said he benched 180 not sure if touch and go or paused. Very heavily muscled in the upper body, especially back and shoulders. Dont forget hes only young too, only 23!

All I can say is that the Heavy weights are going to put on a show!

To hard on yourself bro - you are still young - my lifts will only regress based on age. Us old fullas can still get good numbers but its the young ambitous guys that keep us in check and keep us honest.

Didn't realise TT was referring to you bro, wasn't having a go was just interested in the reasoning behind your Bench Numbers versus your other epic lifts!

You could probably overhead more than you bench right!
