nicksmith3 - 10 week CUT.. Wait wut?

nicksmith3

Recommended Posts

Ffs, let's judge him in 10 weeks. Decide whether having '10' shakes was worth it or not ok?

far out... -_-

we're not judging him, more questioning his reasoning. if you told any dietition,pt,gym owner, supp shop owner etc that u took 11 shakes in 1 day they would all react the same way (reguardless of if it was only for 1 day or not) i would have thought that sends the wrong message to newbees thinking its ok to get there days worth (or 90%) of protien from shakes.

just my 2cents :shifty:

i agree, he may look shit hot at the end but it still wont change the fact that its retarded

Sorry guys, but I didn't mean to get mad... Musta been the 'creatine' talking. Took heaps of Cell-Tech today since it was bicep day.

Back to the topic though, I'm jus mad coz I take 15 shakes a day. Lol jks.

We will see. I think Nick did a real good cut and each time you cut you know waht went wrong last time eg: 2 flat, not enough carbs, muscle loss etc etc.

So I'm sure he will look awesome. Even though his diet looks repetitive. And also I rekon shakes own like red meat in cutting.. all that saturated fat and shit... Unless if you tuna it out all the way lol

Notes - My favourite, OATS! Oats contain insoluble and soluble fibre which first are expanded when they enter your stomach acid, making your body create digestive enzymes in order to break them down. - Creating the same reaction as eating rice cakes/pasta/rice.. Catch my drift? The nutritional value is of course different to that of vegetables and fruit, and cannot be compared in value.

As for vitamins and minerals the body can use, these at this point in time are coming from the source of two multi vitamins a day (500% RDI) along with mixed veg. (Has been shown in many studies to contain much higher concentrations in vitamins and minerals than their supermarket 'fresh' counterparts. As for organic, i can't comment on the degree of how much these contain, but i can say this. "Would you spend 50% extra for 'organic' which could very well have a very similar nutrional value to their 'fast-cropped' counterparts. Being grown in deficent soil (New Zealands) being one point. - We supplement our cows with liquid selenium as we know it effects their milk production and in humans their cardiovascular health. (lungs being the focal point) - Through we do not supplement the general population.

Which brings me to the whey protein isolate. It contains far more bio-available branch chain amino acids than most other protein sources, including meat. During a diet, decreasing the risk of catabolism is my main concern. I find feeding the machine carbohydrates and protein every hour is a GREAT way to do this, along with boosting the metabolism. I realise there is many ways to stop catabolism but i feel at this moment in time this works well. Without the added demand of preparing 10+ meals. As for the amount i use, in the morning i grab the blender and throw in five 30g scoops of whey, cocoa powder, sweetner, and OATS. - This gets taken to work and basically sipped throughout the day.

The Musashi CUT - Training Week 1, Day 3

Tuesday 13th May 09.

Cardio

45 minutes

HIIT - 20 mins

Cycle 5mins

Rower 5mins

Stepper 10mins

Moderate BPM (140-160)

Stepper 10mins

Flat Treadmill 5mins

Incline Treadmill 5mins

Flat Treadmill 5mins

Note - Plugged the HIIT with all i had. Using the 40-50second sprint, 1.30 minute moderate intensity (rest). Jumping the equipment helps me to cut time and enjoy it. Scared a few people off the rower.. Made my drenched way straight up to the stepper, and jumped in next to this hottie.. Les Mills really does have its perks... Finished off with moderate intensity.. Keeping the heartrate in the 'fat buring zone'. Was a solid session and felt GREAT!

Enjoy.

who's the guy in your display photo?

If its you then why are you lean, did you gain weight on purpose? just for this challenge?

It's called bulking. You have to eat a lot of food to try an put on muscle mass and you tend to get a little fat in the process.

I guess you could get a with it if your main goal is to get cut fast, as opposed to maintaining maximum mass. This diet looks kind of like, what some people do a few weeks pre comp.

Where did you learn about this diet?

No one does shakes a few weeks out that I know of .Shakes tend to have little metabolic value

Yea, i'm watching this with interest, as nick is similar stats to me, although another 10KG of muscle and total weight...

I was just questioning it, not suggesting that he is wrong, because if he is successful, then i may base my cut off his, and if that is the case, it would help to understand what he is doing. and as always, I'm here to learn.

Great to have you along brah. - I'm sure you will learn a few things..

I've a few different sources. ;)

Well I know what 11 shakes in a day would do to my ass, and my workmates would probably refuse to get in the car with me ...touch and go at times as it is :pfft:
poo po! :pfft:

LOL! Wut?

You're on the right track as far as fat goes... :pfft:

Cheers for stopping by Paul!

LOL, ref plz? 8)

"Several known experts in the field of bodybuilding, metabolism and nutrition swear by multi-source blended proteins. There is just too much evidence both clinical and practical to support the fact that blended protein substrates (a combination of whey, casein and egg) are a gigantic cut above straight single-source protein powders."

"For example, whey may be able to reduce stress and lower cortisol and increase brain serotonin levels, improve liver function in those suffering from certain forms of hepatitis, reduce blood pressure, as well as other amazing recent discoveries, such as whey's possible effects on weight loss, which is the focus of this article. "

There is ton of refferences reffering to whey and its ability to raise the metabolic rate, i probably wouldn't suggest using whey two weeks out from a show due to the general sodium levels..

among many others. ;)
