I have been so off the radar lately! Time to get the journal up and running I reckon!

Hey VC - how's the training? Have you managed to get some last minute snow? Hope all is well!

Think we're gonna try get a midweeker in next week with all that new snow - hope it doesn't melt!

Training was going well - but I kinda burned out and really had to make some changes. With the goal of competing in Nov in the Naki - I was on a 5 day split with four afternoon cardio sessions per week. After about two months (on a cal restricted diet) I was feeling tired all the time and hungry. I managed to get down 3% in bodyfat but I just wasn't feeling the best.

So I decided not to compete so soon and got a new trainer. I'm seeing him twice a week and he is the bomb! My energy levels are back up and we're concentrating on the long term with the goal of competing in May/June. So I'm back on a 4 day split, and teaming it with boxing and a couple gym classes to keep things a little more exciting.

Trainer blasted me with some circuit training so def a mixture and decent body workout. Yesterday did back, with 45m x trainer in the arvo.

Hitting a boxing club tomorrow night - def looking forward to that. Gave kick boxing a go and wasn't my thing. I've done boxing in the past and enjoyed it a lot more.

Welcome back VC I missed you! Not enough girls about!! How are you set for the NZBB comp that finishes in November eek! Soon!

Cheers Vee! NZBB comp....hmmmm......lets just say I'll hardly be a contender! I managed to lose a bit of weight but my new trainer changed my diet for more energy so it's come back up a bit. Bloody carbs

I've had my last snow for the season sadly. Hubby is hoping to go up on Sunday, but I had such a good day the other Sunday that I think I'll just stop on that high for this season. Oh, and my money has run out

That's a shame you weren't feeling so great, but cool to hear you're back into it again and that you're loving your new trainer. I really need to sort out my budget and try and find money for one...maybe next year!

Great to see you back - don't disappear!

Good to hear your energy levels are back up and the new trainer is working out well for ya.

Edit ; Holy crap. I just looked at the "middle set" pics of you. You've put on quite a bit of muscle since the first set. Thats great work girl!!

(I missed seeing the middle set coz it was the week of my birthday and I went AWOL for the week)

Steak - I wouldn't look just yet cause I've gone back up a bit in bf now I'm back on an off season diet  I'll update my pics soon though

Well I've discovered a new sport that I love. I'd dabbled in boxing before with personal trainers etc but I took a beginner class tonight and went ahead and joined the club (wellingtonboxing.co.nz). The class was AWESOME! I enjoyed every minute of it. So will be hitting that club about three times a week. The instructor told me I could move on from beginner if I wanted.....so that's exactly what I'll do.

Today's eats:

M1: Oats, fruit and yoghurt

M2: 2 vitawheats and tuna

M3: 2C veg and tuna

M4: P.shake and fruit

M5: Chicken and veg

Worked on shoulders and back today (3 exercises each muscle). Am playing around with the nutrition at the mo and trying to restrict carbs to every third day. So far so good.

Today's eats:

6am P.S pre workout

9am 1 yolk/6 egg whites, spinach, 1t pesto

11am Yoghurt with PP

1230 Salad with smoked chicken (and a little bit of cheese)

3pm P.S

6.30pm 400g fish, 2C veg

8.30pm Baked protein sludge =P~

I'm trying to find other easy sources of protein. Will get into nuts and chicken. I can't handle too much tuna at the mo. Once a day is enough for me.

I seemed to have tweaked my wrist. Actually, I did it about three weeks ago and it's still hanging around (I usually wake up at night to it throbbing a bit). So I may have to lay off time weights this week and let it heal (?). Think I mainly have to keep off bicep curls (which is how I think I tweaked it in the first place). Ugh, this is going to be difficult. Guess I can just do many sessions of cardio, leg work and ab work.

Aw shit, that's no good VC :(

Maybe you should get it checked out if it's waking you up in the night. Got any anti inflammatories?

The boxing was fine in the end cause we were using pads, so less impact on my hand :) Strapping it up definitely helped (I really need to buy my own gloves now - theirs were pretty heinous!).

Yay carb day today :) Back on my oats and tortilla wrap whoop! Will even throw in a decent piece of beef for dinner =P~ =P~
