Wot, no squat rack ? but seriously, what's missing ?

It actually as a squat rack after all! Phew! I guess when it comes to my quads and hammies I'm so used to leg curl and extension machines but it doesn't have either. Has a cable machine, lots of dumbells and core stuff. I just need to work around it.

Bought some new bindings for my snowboard and just got them today. 2010 Ride Banditas...might not mean a lot to most (Maybe Chillicat?) but I'm pretty stoked! Really looking forward to the season - goal is to ride that top park at Turoa.

Ok I promise that's my last snowboarding rant for a while.

I'd be interested to hear how you find them with the single ratchet - I haven't seen anyone use them before or heard any reviews of them. I used to have some nice Ride bindings, but I swapped to Burton Lexas with capstrap and haven't looked back. I think some people found the capstrap gimmicky but I'd always found the front strap around the widest part of my foot gave me a lot of pain, so the cap worked for me. Love to hear about a binding with no front strap though!

Will definitely keep you in the loop. We read some reviews on the men's Ride Contrabands and so far so good. But these will definitely take me a while to get used to I reckon! (And it's MUCH better than a pair of bindings with a shoelace keeping one of then together!)

Today I had an awesome session with a mate of mine (used to be a trainer). We had the Exodus studio to ourselves so set up a mini circuit in between boxing stints. We've decided that Friday afternoons will be our fun cardio session. I'm going to stay there after all, as I managed to get a student discount of $8 per week (so have gone from $28 to 20). Score!

Going to a 'potluck dessert' night tonight with some friends. I'll indulge a bit. I've cut back on a few things today to try and make up for the cals and will go hard tomorrow.

Mmmm apple pie.

Had a weigh in this morning and I'm at 61.8 kgs which I'm pleased about (I was 63.5 a month ago). I realise I shouldn't be concentrating on the scales so I'll do measurements tomorrow morning. Feel like I'm getting somewhere though with the fat loss - I've basically amped up my cardio and kept my food the same (but carbs on weight days only).

Just had a low intensity cardio session this morning. Was meant to do weights but I had bugger all sleep last night and didn't have the energy. Might come back in this arvo or just save it to tomorrow.

 Nice work!

Yeah, scales can be strange. My weight is also up around the 63.5 mark right now, after being around 58-59 last year - but the odd thing is that some clothes feel a bit tighter, and some don't. I haven't bothered measuring though, as the extra food is helping me to lift heavier weights which overall I think is giving me a better shape, even if it's a slightly larger shape than last year.

Do you have a target weight you're aiming for?

Boxing tonight - awesome session. Followed by an awesome dinner (180g salmon with stir fry veg =P~ =P~ ).

Taking my man out to dinner tomorrow night at Red Ginger. Will treat myself to a glass of red and a noodle soup.

I'm looking forward to legs tomorrow morn and my Friday fun afternoon.

Had my back and shoulder session yesterday morning. Also took a couple Hydroxycut Max to try out. Unfortunately they hadn't worn off by the time I got to work and I was really wired. It was like I was on herbals or something and I couldn't concentrate!   Came right about 10am.

Had my cheat meal at Red Ginger last night. AVERAGE. Lucky I had my entertainment card and technically didn't pay for my main.

Only average eh? I haven't been there - but might not bother if it's not all that good (even with entertaiment card!).

Great service and some nice entrees but the mains were a little bland to be honest. I'd rather go to Oaks on Cuba!

I got a free sample of them once and they made me vom

Really? I can't say I'm all that suprised. They were pretty strong!

Feeling nice and sore from my leg session yesterday (which was followed by 40 min cardio).

Preparing myself for a nice long cardio session today (even downloaded lots of old school rnb hits). I love using my low intensity cardio sessions to reminisce about the old days. Might just jog along Oriental Pde today.

Waist has decreased by 2.5cm. Hips and thighs remain the same

Nice, an old-fashioned inch gone

... because they're mostly working muscle, hips and thighs are often slower to lose size, whereas (barring abs, of course, and lower-back/erectors), the waist can often shrink quite quickly.

If you're working lower body hard, you'd see gains in tone more quickly than loss of inches.

Yeah I figure I wont stress as much with the hips and glutes, as they seem to have 'perked' up a bit more which is exactly what I want, and a bit more of a line down the side of my legs.

I wont be training tomorrow morn (having an arvo boxing session instead) so will miss you TFB - but have a fun workout!
