Thanks for the bday messages! (I feel special!). My man took me to Restaurant 88 on Tory and is about to make me a protein brownie sundae.

Yum! Will get to the partying tomorrow \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

Oooh yum I love Restaurant 88 - it's always the first one we go to as soon as we get our Entertainment Book with the 2 for 1 meals!!

Right! The cast is off (has been for a while) but my wrist is now 100% better. \:D/ So I'm easing myself back into the game. I started boxing again this week (beginner styles of course) and my back is killing me already (In a good way). So my weekly programme will loo something along the lines of this:

M: Legs and abs + afternoon boxing session

T: Back and biceps + afternoon boxing session

W: Day off

T: Chest and shoulders

F: More legs, triceps + abs

S: Cardio session (60 minute jog)

S: Day off (extra cardio session if I've indulged on Sat)

It has been a social couple of months so I've had a couple glasses of wine and a dinner out on most Saturdays - so I usually get in an extra session of cardio the next day (and add in a few extra weights in my Sat workout).

To be honest, I don't really have a set goal at the moment. I just want to be healthy, lean and energised. I've completely gone off the energy supplements and have not needed them, which suprises me. Must be those extra carbs :)

I'm not being totally anal with my eating, but still keeping it relatively clean.

Ok, so it has been a while since I put anything in my journal. My username wasn't working for some reason and when I tried to reset the password it said it didn't exist! Admin issues sorted and I can finally log on :)

Welcome back! Great to hear your injury is now healed - wow, that seemed to be a really long time that it put you out of action.

I know! Think it was last November? Well its back to 100% now so as of last week, I'm back into boxing twice a week on top of 4 weights sessions.

So I've been seeing a doctor and she seems to think I'm gluten intolerant. I find out next week, but I can't say I really care. I wasn't big on wheat products anyway (or have I not realised how annoying it is yet?) Either way, it'll explain all those tummy issues I seem to have in the arvo and I can get back into some decent afternoon workouts :)

Cheers CC. I noticed because I wasn't posting them, I would often forget what I even did since I'd stop writing in my journal too. SLACKER! Now that we're heading into winter I reckon it's going to be a lot easier to stick to my diet and training plan. Summer was exhausting. I'm happy to see it go!

Thanks BB! Yeah I feel like its a good balance at the moment. Seeing as I don't really have a set goal this year I'm happy to go ahead at this pace. Although I did gain a good KG over the last two months due to party season but it shouldn't take me long to lose if I get my diet in check.

Day off yesterday.

As of today I'm cleaning up my diet. I'd always planned to have a bit of 'time off' from Jan to May (as in 80% clean) but now I'm more than ready to get back into it (Back to one cheat meal per week). I've indulged a bit (bit of booze here and there) but now I've had enough. Before I was training around 8 sessions per week to try and make up for those extra cals but I'm cutting down to 6 per week with a cleaner diet.

Feeling quite amped about it.

Today legs :)

MONDAY - BACK AND SHOULDERS

Bit of a rubbish workout this morning. I had a bowl of pasta last night as a cheat meal. Big mistake. So attempted some sort of workout and have come home sick.

LAT PULL DOWN

26kg x 12 x 2

33kg x 10 x 2

ONE ARM ROW

13kg x 10 x 4

SM BENT OVER ROW

20kg x 10 x 2

30kg x 8 x 2

CABLE SHOULDER PRESS

10kg x 15 x 3

Few sits ups. Went to work for a couple hours then came home. Damn pasta. Never again!!

Damn pasta. Never again!!

Ouch. Some of the best gluten-free pasta I've come across, that doesn't contain chemical crap. A bit expensive for regular eating, but good for a cheat meal:

Available from these guys. I prefer the Besan & Buckwheat to the Besan & Rice, the texture and cooked result is very good for a gluten-free pasta. Hang in there Miss.

TODAY'S EATS

M1: 2 weet-bix, soy milk, protein powder (post workout)

M2: 80g tuna, serve of fruit

M3: 120g chicken, 2C veg, 1 potato

M4: Protein shake, 1t peanut butter

Dinner will be 150g chicken, 3C veg and I'll top the night off with 4 egg whites and some sweetner.

Because I came home sick to empty cupboards I didn't have a lot to work with (hence the weet-bix and spuds). I'm trying to find some alternatives to oats when it comes to breakfast (trying gluten free for a little while, to see if that eases tummy aches). I'm thinking omlettes with kumara if post workout, otherwise a soy smoothie with berries and yoghurt.

For lunch I'm going to give that quinoa a go (as expensive as it is) and kumara for variety.

TODAY'S EATS

I've cut right back on fruit. I was having a good three servings a day (being summer and all) and I'm already feeling the withdrawals!

M1: 1/2C Oats, PS (Post workout)

M2: 90g Tuna, 1C Green Veg

M3: 100g Chicken, 100g Kumara, 1.5C Green Veg

M4: 50g Chicken, 1C Green Veg, Small Banana

M5: 120g Chicken, 2C Green Veg, 1/4 Avocado, 1/2 Tomato

I'll top the night off with a protein shake for dessert. I have to say tho, that's a lot of veg! I felt the need to attach meal photos. Don't ask me why. I guess I felt proud of them (since I've been so slack lately).

I'm still hungry =P~ =P~ =P~

I'm also trying to think of other protein sources for my snacks. Dairy is out of the question and I don't want to rely on protein powder. I'm not much of a nut fan although I could do that with fruit in the afternoons. I might just carry on with the meat......post-3103-14166820477205_thumb.jpg
