Right! New supplement time...I've just finished Adipo-X. It was ok, but gave me heinous burps that I'd rather not experience again! Energy wise - also ok but I wouldn't mind a bit more grrr. Since I'm not really a morning person, supplements are essential to get me going.

Ladies.....tried anything good lately? (Men also if you'd like to share!)

Right, new fitness and nutrition plan begins tomorrow. Basically it's restricted calories with necessary supplements, cardio for 1 hour every day and the following weight days:

Day 1 - Chest and Shoulders

Day 2 - Legs

Day 3 - Back

Day 4 - Arms

Day 5 - Hams, calves and extra shoulders

I won't really do my daily log as usual, more like a weekly update with how I'm going and latest stats.

Feeling excited and a bit "what the f*** am I getting myself into" at the same time. But the key was, tell everyone I know that I'll be competing in Nov, and that way, I won't pull out and look like a chump.

Bring it on!

I have a week of snowboarding coming up in Queenstown (so, a good solid 5 days of riding). I was looking into a 5 day pass at the local Gym, which will prove to be a tad expensive considering I'll be paying a few hundred for mountain passes.

My bf reckons it's ok to take the week of weight training, as long as I get in a s*** load of riding.

What do you think? Perhaps I can fit in some exercises at home to keep me sane? (push ups etc). Although I don't want to hinder any pre-comp progress.

Damn I'm such a newbie

I'm having a similar problem - we're going to be away for 2 1/2 weeks, so that's a hell of a long time away from the gym, even if we've got 12 days on the mountains :?

To make things worse, only a couple of the places we're going to have gyms (bit of a lack in places like Fairlie and Ohau). So my plan is to go when I can, and to work out a plan of excercises that I can do at home to work the relevant muscles on the normal days that I'd be working them.

I haven't actually given it much thought yet, but off the top of my head it would be something like:

Mon (chest and triceps): can do pressups and tricep press ups. tricep dips

Tue (legs/glutes): lunges (even without weights - just do more like in a pump class), calf raises with a step or something. those glute bridge thingies, sumo squats

Wed (back and biceps): not sure about this yet

Thur (shoulders): um....

But I'm hoping to come up with enough exercises for each day to at least be able to do half an hour so that all the good work doesn't completely fall apart!
