If it is ok with you Dr. Jackass I would be very keen to help with tanning at this show. I will not be competing due to the fact that the judging is fixed and I wont have a fair shot at winning anyway. I mean the judges have to adhere to politics after all dont they?

If you dont think your up to par with the competition it is probably best you work on your flaws and compete when your ready to.

If you are the best on the day you will win, simple as that.

If you want to use politics as an excuse you are in the wrong sport my friend.

If you want to discuss anything feel free to call me on 368 4211

Well said, Dr J! Sounds very much like another case of sour grapes or jealousy, but I'm also happy to discuss this with you blue_doves.

I will add that I know each of the NZFBB judges well, and they are all (especially as judges) honest, dedicated and reliable. There is no room for a judge to be partial or biased, because they are scored at each event and they all strive to get 100% if they can. The judges will always disagree on certain placings, but that's a good thing - if they all gave the same scores you might as well just have one judge instead of 5 in the panel. As an event organiser it would be much cheaper that way than having to pay flights and two nights accommodation for 4 extra judges!

Not sure what your issue is, blue_doves, but comments like that certainly won't do your chances much good of being on the event staff!

What a pointless comment.

Thats what you get for competing in a subjective sport...

In weightlifting who can put the most weight over their head wins (i know there are some rules like no press outs) no one has lost a comp by a judge saying no lift to a good lift.

Good example of bb politics/subjectivity is 1980 olympia where an fat (for bb) arnold took out first place for being arnold.

:D

but get over it blue dove... life is not fair... change sports if you cant handle the jandle.

If thats not enough I have heard that Moe will be guest posing full offseason for the first time ever at 270lb+!

And we might just get a glimps of our newest pro Big Mike D lith any luck.

This is shaping up to be the highlight show of the year

Sounds like i may have to dust off the trunks, Moe has asked me on Facebook if id like to come up and guest pose, and squeez a couple of workouts in also. What 1st time pro wouldnt take up the opportunity to jump up on stage with not just one but 2 Olympia competitors

Ha - I figured you couldn't resist a chance of getting your kit off, big fella! :pfft: Will be good to see a trial run of your routine for your guest pose in Masterton the following week.

Oh no - as I'll also be there, and almost certainly Mike K and Willie W .... I can see a re-enactment of that sad (but fun) night last April here in Welly when the four of us were sitting in McDonalds at about 3.30am looking very sorry for ourselves! :?
