Yeah dont about that guy in pic 23 but some of the guys and one in particular seem to have no real leg definition at all. seems to be common with shows in NZ whose pics I have seen.

I am sure some of thier legwork would not be up to jonos expectations.

(not picking on you jono, you have become a bit of a legend here with you lleg workouts :pfft: )

It is a common trait for men not to train their legs... They only seem to focus on what they can see in front of them, that is their biceps etc.

When I queried a guy at my gym as to why I've never seen him train his legs his response was - "Oh legs are only for walking - why do I need to train them..."

Please guys - TRAIN YOUR LEGS! MUSCLY LEGS ARE SEXY!!! :D

Yeah i agree, it seems very common, not counting the members on this board, for guys not to bother with their legs at all or only do limited training. I must admit i wasnt a big fan of training legs when i first began, but i quickely learned they are the most important muscle group to work.

To have a big upper body then scrawny legs looks really bad because they are emphasised.

I think you all are missing the whole point. If you look a little harder at those pics you'll find that he if fact has quit proportionate legs, one would say quit big in fact. The problem is he's...well... lets say out of shape, or not lean enough. If he had a b/fat % of 3 not 10 you would see that he carries a bit of mass. Deegee this is the problem with N.Z shows, kiwis B/B's just aren't prepared to do the hard work. There are a few out there, but not many.

tallulahangie you looked good out there, a little nervise and it showed in your posing but I was imprest. You have a good future ahead of you. You just need a few more show's under your belt. Well done, I look forward to judging you again in the future.

There were 5 of us. It was a good relaxed show. Bit of a break from the norm.

Yes I was really nervous on the day!!! This competition was a good one to do as it gave me a fair idea of what to expect from a federation competition which means I won't be as nervous when I compete seriously...

I really do appreciate your comments "LA Muscle". Positive comments like yours are what keeps competitors in the sport focused and motivated. What with the dwindling numbers this year we bodybuilders need to encourage 'new blood' to compete and to continue competing... Thanks again for your encouragement and I really hope that you continue to promote and encourage the sport in a positive manner as you are now. :D
