Good luck to anyone who attempts to run a sports Expo, you're gonna need it.

I reckon getting Danny and the guy that runs the Country Classic to do a joint venture would work....

Aussie Hardcore Muscle magazine could be the naming rights sponsor...I bet they've got the cash to throw at an event like this!

just thought i'd throw this in.

great thread, good to some clean healthy debate from well informed people.

And that just about says it all.

It's amazing how humour can cut through all the bullshit and say what we are all thinking.

Great find gazza.

You know me well mate, HCAM is simply rolling in the money and Danny and I are best mates.

Can't wait to blow $50,000+ on this event with Danny as my partner.

  • 3 years later...

Firstly, thanks bigmd for the compliment- it was 7 years ago that i ventured into shape when it was first evolving having competed 8 times in figure, placing in the top 3 each time. Multiple credible sources had advised me that i would be better suited to the new class at the time. As someone who was devoted to training and eating well, and realising that i was never going to gain the size needed to be any more successful than i had already been in figure without pharmaceutical enhancement, the chance to compete in a class which required a lean athletic physique without the size appealed to me. I completely agree with everything bigmd and outlaw53 have to say, and i too feel that shape in its current form has no place on a bodybuilding stage. To me bodybuilding ought to typify the body of someone who is dedicated to training, feeding their body foods which enhance health and fitness and strength, and at least have some degree of muscle definition. Anything less than this is an insult to those athletes who truly walk the walk and talk the talk, striving daily to build a strong, muscular body. Whilst many for the shape girls do have lovely shapely figures, in my opinion they belong in bikini or model competitions, not on a bodybuilding stage :D
