So much scientific research has proven the benefits of stretching and the help of development of muscles in relation to the restriction of fascia, which can restrict the muscle growth, and stretching helps recovery heaps. I do a really good stretch before and after any work out.

This was my post on the previous topic. I know from my own body that I need to stretch before and after a work out, if I do a REALLY good stretch before and after 2 hours later I literally feel nothing at all 100% recovered and not even sore the next day. And this is after a 50min session with a PT that pushes me until have full muscle failure and can’t even lift my arms/walk up stairs.

I did a test for my own self test in regards to this, same diet same day as last work out day, same diet in the morning etc and did a small stretch before hand ( 3min ) and small after ( 3min ) this is what I personally found, this is just for my body and my own personal discovery

1. I lifted a significant amount less before I muscle failed.

2. I could not due to fascia restriction squat low as a normally did

3, I was in agony that night and could hardly sleep as my legs were stinging allll night

4. A week later my muscle still feels like they are not recovered and has clearly entered a catabolic state.

5. god I love stretching

i would say stretching, esp of the typically tight muscles (calves, hip flexors, anterior shoulder/lats/pecs)

would go a long way to creating more muscle growth indirectly from preventing faulty length/tension relationships across joints, reducing injury

dunno about the fascia? thing.....seems like a silly adaption not allowing the muscle to grow cause the fibirous covering is unable to adapt.

any reseach on that effect?
