You have made some big improvements, good to see. You have potential. You are 98kgs That's big, in my experience with bodybuilding if you were to cut up for a show right now, and got down to the average B/F levels on stage of say 5%. Your weight would be around 80-82kgs max on stage. That's only if you do it right and don't loose to much muscle. It sucks but its true. However on stage you will look well over 90kg and people in the audience will tell you that. So who really cares. Something to think about.

We just don't realise how much b/f we have until we have to shift it. This is why most bodybuilders now are opting to stay lean year round, within 5-7 kg of there comp weight. They are still able to put on good quality muscle. Rather than the old school 20-30kg off season bulk up. 1st of all its unhealthy 2nd its so dam hard to shift and 3rd its a real mind f..k, loosing all the mass. 4 You never wont to take your shirt of when your out of shape. Lets face it chicks don't like guys with 22inch arms and 45inch wast. They would rather look at a 16 inch lean arm with a 28inch lean 6pack. Bulking up should be increasing calories not increasing your wast line.

thanks for the comments man.

i feel this year i have done very well so far, ive put on some good size in the right places. i have also put like 4 inchs on my waist. ill will be adding some cardio to keep the waist in check. i do eat clean btw,, i just eat a LOT of clean food.

i dont do bb for chicks either lol

to be honest ive read a lot of bb'rs journals on the boards over the last 2 years, ive seen the guys who stay close to their comp weight, and ive seen the guys who dont. and ive got to say, the guys that stay close to their comp weight seem to me to have a much harder time putting on size in the offseason.

(this is the jsut general feel i get from reading lots of journals etc.)

earlier this year i was eating to hold my waist in check, and basically i started eating a LOT more after that to break some plateus. and it worked. i make gains in the gym every single workout pretty much.

i know theres a fine line of getting out of control, and ill do my best to stay below that line

I think if Jono brings cardio into his workout split then things will even out. I guess with such a high metabolism it will just take a bit of time to find that balance of how much cardio is optimum for you without slowing up your gains.

The whole issue of clean bulking is a very interesting one. I think it's very hard for a natural bber to put on significant size without carrying around a bit of extra bodyfat for a while. There are a lot of bbers competing in NZ at the moment that look exactly the same year after year. They just play it safe & stay close to comp bodyfat levels. That would bore me.

Dante has written an article which really inspired me called "paying your dues". If you can find it give it a read.

Not that there's anything wrong with that, either... let's be honest, most of us started bbing for chicks!

Good work, Jono, btw... I think those arms might be catching up now. Would you agree?

i have made a lot of progress on the arms this year

this is why staying near you comp wt is kinda strange. if you are descent bb i assume ur comp wt wil change over time

Fantastic work babe!

Obviously you are making some huge gains so you must be doing something right!

I totally agree with the "eat to grow" method... It seems to work in a few cases I've seen...

You are the only person who can say what is right for your body. You seemed to be pleased with the direction you are heading and that is all that counts.

Keep up the good work!!!

(I would really like to see how you turn out after your cut... I'm sure I'd be one girl lusting after you! LOL  )

The overall proportion looks good

I started bbing for me not women and that is honest.
