Tastiest:

Guacamole (from Annabel Langbein's book More Taste than Time):

2 large ripe avocados, mashed with a fork

1 teaspoon crushed garlic

2-3 tablespoons lemon juice

3 tablespoons chopped coriander

salt and freshly gound pepper to taste

pinch of chilli powder ot 2-3 drops of tabasco

1 tomato, diced finely

2 tablespoons finely chopped onion or spring onion

Mix all ingredients until well combined.

Good to dunk raw veges in to.

I'm not sure it's avocado season just yet, so at the moment the nutritional content of any avocados you can get is probably 100% soap. :P

Seriously, though, according to http://www.rnc.co.nz...

Avocado, raw (1, med) 389 calories, 1.1g carbs, 2.8g protein, 41.5g fat

The numbers are slightly different at http://www.calorieking.com/foods/food.p ... 1&partner= but probably not significantly so.
