Natural BB progress and limits

Im interested in muscle hyperthropy limits. I know people can get stronger for a long time but this is do to neuralogical efficiency.

Im wanting to hear from natural BB's on this site about their weight gain progress (obviously at the same bf%).

eg.

my name is Joe_blogs and I gained 8,6,3,1,0.5,0.5, etc. kg per year.

I would love to hear from Pseudonym and Android.

not interested in hearing from the enhanced guys or its just going to confuse things.

78kg@13%bf to 98kg@approx11.5%bf

That would put your lean BM at 88kgs

As posted on Oct 15 2008

um i was in novice 80kg+ ,and i weighed in at 85.8kg at 8.5%bf .

That would put your lean BM at 79kgs

So you have put on 9kgs of muscle in 4 months?

2007 Jan - 73kg, 12% bf

2007 Nov - 78kg, 9% bf

2008 Oct - 81kg, 7% bf

2009 ... Still early gains,

There are ideas that naturals will gain at this rate depending on expeience training.

5kg gain, in 1st 2-3 years training.

3.5kg gain, with 4-6 years training.

2.5kg gain, with 7-9 years training.

Per year.

This was pulled from anabolicminds. Still, because everyone is different. I say someone may gain more than another person per year, depending on various factors, genetics, diet, training etc etc..

He's holding alot more water and food at the moment. Plus he has made some serious gains too

That LBM calculation is somewhat flawed.

Ive seen guys sitting at 125kg @ 15% BF then they hit the stage at 100kg @ 4%. Did they just lose 6-7kg muscle while cutting? Doubt it

What Im saying is when you're at competition weight you aren't holding anywhere near as much water and food as when you're bulking so you have to take that into consideration.

You do have a point, its hard to know how much of the gains are muscle. To gauge muscle growth its probably prudent to compare your weight at similar bodyfat levels.

So what you would be saying then is you would really have no idea exactly how much muscle mass he has put on

i dnt know how all the technical stuff goes, all i know is i can read the scales when i stand on them :shifty: and i get my bf done by qualifyed dude. so im not sayin it all muscle either, im just sayin ive put on weight in past yrs and my muscles seem be growing in proportion(legs laging a bit :( ), and ive only really got the whole food thing (eatin 6meals/water intake etc)right in the past 7-8mths so id hope to keep seeing some gud gains for a wile to come(+ ive only just changed to a bulking protien instead of the same low cal stuff i have been using all yr round)

Sorry man, I don't think I'm going to be a particularly good example for you. I don't really have any easily accessible records of when I weighed what. I started at 60kg (generally scrawny - no muscle, no fat) and made it to 94kg (about 15-16%BF).

But although I've been consistent, I wouldn't say my training or diet has been as intense as it could be. I'm sure I could have made better progress if it had been.

In fact, I dropped back down (about two years ago now - ouch!) and have just held it at that level since. I'm currently 85kg at 11-12% and trying to improve it again. Depending on my frustration levels, I may yet cross to the dark side. I'm counting an increasing number of grey hairs now (fortunately, I can still count them!) so I'm very aware I'm not getting any younger.

I don't doubt you have put on muscle mass as I'm sure you have, The point I'm making is you really don't know how much so the stat's you have posted are very misleading

Even with all that those tables and charts of other peoples progress natural growth potential lies within your genetics. I find it's best not to stress about gaining or loosing, too much stress will have you stall for sure due to increased cortisol levels.
