An attempt to regain control of myself...

Today I am wearing a skirt.

Today I am wearing a skirt that I last wore a couple of weeks ago.

Today I am wearing a skirt that I last wore a couple of weeks ago which rode up everytime I walked.

Today I am wearing a skirt that I last wore a couple of weeks ago which rode up everytime I walked and is now loose enough not to ride up - YEEHA!

I feel pretty good today. I love Mondays. Weekends can be a bit wishy-washy for me diet and exercise-wise so I tend to enjoy Mondays and getting back into the routine of my diet etc.

On Saturday I weighed myself and the scales showed a 800g difference from the week before and I was stoked with the loss. As a reward I gave myself a 'Free Day' in respect to food. I cooked this beautiful vegetarian lasagne and made a Mixed Berry cheesecake (I'm going to make a good wife one day, hehehe) and indulged a little (too much I think). Not to mention the nip of Brandy i had before bed - knocked me out though and I had an extremely restful sleep. Exercise-wise on Saturday - 60 minutes on Spin Bike in the morning and 1 hour walk along beach. But I didn't sit down all day - was on the go doing washing, going around the world with Optus, shopping, cooking, exercising. Phew!

Sunday was a lot more controlled. Exercise was 15 minutes lunges/45 minutes Spin Bike, 1 hour run/walk along beach and finally 75 minutes Spin Bike. Diet, well, tried to keep it clean as much as possible but a few bites of lasagne and a few mouthfuls of cheesecake accidentally fell into my mouth. :pfft:

Now I'm only 900g off my interim goal weight (remember how I said that i wanted to lose 3kg before Easter?), so this week I am going to cane myself in order to get there (and if I get there I am downloading Pet Shop Boys off iTunes as a reward \:D/ ). Then I will keep going to and have a wee break over Easter and then back into it to get to the next mini goal, which will be to lose an additional 4 kgs. This next goal may take a bit longer because I've got a busy month in May with travelling for business, so no doubt there will be a bit of alcohol, indulgent foods and not a lot of opportunity to exercise.

Had a discussion with my Dad about supplements & what not. Also did a little research. On Sunday I started taking the following:

AM: 2 Omega-3 tabs (1000mg per tab), 1 tsp L-Arginine, 1 Centrum Multi-Vitamin

PM: 2 Omega-3 tabs (1000mg per tab), 1 tsp L-Arginine

Just a quick update.

The past few days have been a REAL battle. I really do feel sorry for those around me, especially my colleague/boss who has copped it a few times from me.

Because I’ve been so tired and lethargic this week, I have skipped my weight trains at the gym in favour of cardio. When I’m tired my form tends to lack and I really don’t want to injure myself (previous experience prevails).

Diet remains unchanged.

As cranky and shitty as I’m feeling (yes, I’ve used the ‘C’ word a few times this week and the ‘F’ word has been a regular inclusion into my standard vocabulary), I’ve got the fire in my belly to compete again. Not this year, perhaps end of 2010 and I would go ‘home’ (back to NZ) to compete in the NABBA Shape class. But that is way, way, wayyyyy down the track and there are many rivers to cross before then…

Must keep going and trucking along. Weigh in again on Saturday which I’m nervous about because I set myself such a strict goal of losing 900g to get to my interim goal weight. *Sigh* 2 more days till Saturday though, anything could happen in that time.

Wicked results  - must make a difference to know you're looking good in those clothes!

Like the attitude too - about swapping weights for cardio. that's way better than the alternative - of swapping weights for couch :naughty: and it's great to hear you're thinking of competing.

Sounds like there's no looking back!
