I believe the dextrose is supposed to drive the protein into your muscles? I would have thought only after weights, but I don't see why not after cardio?

Just had a bit of a read and unless you're not doing cardio for fat loss, the dexrose slows down fat burning because it has to burn off the dextrose before it burns off the fat

yeah i learned that i need to squeeze my belly muscles tight when i'm doing all weights, especially deadlifts and leg press (I hurt my back because i wasn't doing this).

Yep my PT is always telling me 'pull your core in towards your spine' and scared me today by telling me if I didn't keep a curve in my back when doing squats I would pop a disc!!!! scary! If you have a strong core it helps lift stuff that's for sure.

are you looking for something to give you a bit of a kick? i've only tried two products PVL nox stac and SAN fierce. found that they both delivered san fierce seemed to work a bit better but my food etc was better as well. alot of the guys seen to like superpump, what aboy thermo's. don't know much about these but your goal seems to be fat loss and they do stimulate you?

the gym i train at is selling tubes of MORPH with 30g of protein added, couple of guys said it was ok.

I'm trying to gain lbm, I'm getting my bodyfat tested again on friday - for me it's just getting it to a level that i'm happy with rather than just continously trying to lose fat. I wouldn't take thermos unless i was cutting hard for a comp and it seems you can't get them here in nz anyway

I just pop back a couple of caffiene pills. Gets me all excited and jittery for my workouts.

Haha, i don't like the caffeine jitters

I took some Hydroxycut ages ago and it turned me into some kinda of woman beast that cried and had panic attacks about it raining outside and silly stuff like that

any man that can put up with a crazed lady is a good one

You're eating gluten-free aye? Is that because of an intolerance or another reason? If intolerance, how do you find the casein? I'm interested to hear because I read that gluten and casein intolerances often occur together, something about a sensitivity to opioid-like peptides, and/or the release of histamine both cause.

It was quite an interesting article.

(But then you can't believe everything you read).

Nope i'm not intollerant to it, I just choose to eat gluten and dairy free as much as i can because they are classed as pro-inflammatory foods. I've got polyarticular idiopathic juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (whatever that means) so I steer clear of these foods along with potatoes, capsicum, eggplant (veges and plants from the nightshade family). My arthritis has been loads better since i've started eating like this cause the last thing i want to affect my training is swollen joints

Workout

Lateral Pull Down (Wide Grip)

3x10x30kg

Lateral Pull Down (Close Grip)

10x30kg

5x42kg

5x36kg

Low Row

Shoulder Press

10x5kg

10x10kg

2x10x5kg

Cardio

30 mins HIIT on X-trainer (310 cals)

Note: I don't post my food up anymore cause it's pretty much the same thing each day, apart from for 40 hours this weekend i'm surviving on protein shakes and dextrose in water for the 40 famine
