Tired today, didn't want to come to work, could have quite happily stayed at home and slept. However I am at work and totally focussed on the job

I trained legs last night, which was meant to be tonight's workout. Thursdays are always hard days for me, always feel knackered, so I thought my back workout would be a better option for tonight.

Legs:

Deadlifts from floor 4 x 8 30kg. Didn't attempt to lift heavier, it was too hot, I was too sweaty, and the bar was slipping even at this weight which is quite comfortable for me.

Front squat 1 1/2 reps, full rep then 1/2 rep = 1 rep 4 x10 30kg

I feel more comfortable doing these now so I was able to crank up the weight.

Plie stance squats with BB on back 4 x 12 30kg

DB Deadlifts 4 x 8 15kg DB

Calf Raises off leg press machine 4 x 15 40kg

Walking lunges on the treadmill for 10 minutes

Finished off with 20 minutes on the bike. Went home and literally died!

Although feeling tired, after my walk/run this morning, I got home and thought 'you are really doing this'. The weight is starting to come off and my body is changing shape. I know that I still have a way to go but i'm getting excited.

Great effort J, keep it up...if you're like the rest of us, you're probably your own worst critic...so when you admit to yourself that you can see the changes, imagine what other folk are seeing!

Haven't been to Exodus, coming for the Radical Fitness update on the 7th...Fight-Do and Powerfit ftw!

The positive comments really help - so thanks so much!!

Haven't been there, sounds pretty flash!

BG if you ever want to have a workout there let me know I'm sure I can get my hands on some free passes.

Got home from work last night and had a wee nap before heading to the gym. I felt so much better when I woke up and living only 2 minutes away from the gym means I can afford that time.

Last night it was all about the back.

Bent over DB rows 4 x 6 17.5kg DB (heaviest I have ever gone - amazing what sleep can do)

Close Grip Assisted Pull ups 4 x 8 19kg

Cable Row using rope handle 4 x 10 33kg

Reverse grip lat pulldown 4 x 8 40kg

Back Extensions 3 x 15

Thought I would try the rowing machine last night, the goal was to last at last 20 minutes. I got to 5 minutes and hated it so ended up going back to the faithful bike. No TV screens on the rowing machine - someone needs to fix that. The eating is going well, feeling in control of the diet.

Today is a rest day, no cardio no weights - God what will I do........

Rowing machines take a bit to get use to, most people just jump on for a 5-10min warm up a lot of the time.

If you could nab a free pass that would be cool, wouldn't mind checking it out next week when i don't have my kids. We could train a night if you keen?

I am back in the land of the living!!

Saturday night I was struck down with a stomach bug and was pretty miserable Sunday and Monday. Needless to say there has been no training and eating has been soup and dare I say it bread. So far today my eating has been per my diet, so that's a good start. I'm feeling much better today so I have the gym in my sights this evening.
