Looking good so far. Interesting you're that finding you don't go far into keto, I found the same thing, no matte how low I got the carb intake, even on a day with nothing but eggs and meat.

Stick it out mate, its worth it. Especially when you get to that first carbup :pfft:

some interesting keto research ive been doing, suggests that overdoing your protein on keto can hold back ketosis, on account of additional protein being used as energy (like carbs?), so best to stick with the reccomended 1 gram per lb of bodyweight. imo thats the harder part of keto, dropping back protein intake! its so unnatural....

trained some chest/delts/tris, more focus on tris - as per tonkas wise words. im in the middle of hashing up tommorows diet plan, but will post that up later on for shits. it will be MUCH more in line with keto protocol - less protein, more fat, and a better ratio of sat/unsat fats.

interesting, changed my diet today, less protein, more fat. and today tested 2 shades deeper into keto. nice! todays eats..

m1 5 eggs,30g mayo

m2 120g mince, 50g PB

m3 180g tuna, 30ml EV olive oil

m4 120g mince, 50g PB

m5 120g mince, 50g sour cream

m6 fluff/100g cottage cheese.

Never underestimate the value of fat intake during a keto. Out of interest what brand of mayo are you having ... lots of fat in mayo but never considered it for a keto - good thinking.

not sure, gonna work it out properly 2mo. also, been further fathoming ways 2 improve macros/fat ratios further, but will elaborate more tommorow. tested in slightly deeper than traces today again, so im obviously on the right track!

How are you finding the training? When we last spoke it was still early days.

strength is down slightly, and stamina through the workout also, but i have to say - despite being in a deficiet, im never hungry, and have way more energy in daily life than i did doing 'low carb' diet.

Where do you get these keto sticks?? Do you have to pee on them?? :shock:

how's the bodyweight holding up with the keto??

cheers bro! well with keto b.w is a very poor indicator of things, due to the constant fluctuations with water/carb weight. the best indicators for progress are photos and a tape measure, and im using both. but i dropped 3kg of water in 3 days, will weigh tommorow morning for records, as tommorow is my first carb-up.

did my food shopping this a.m, some very interesting discoverys. thus far ive just been using the PB i already had in my cupboard, but thought id hunt out the lower carb ones. upon looking at all the labels there, i realised that, by far, the lowest carb one is the one im already using, most others are close to double the carbs :lol:Optimass, if your reading this, check out sanitarium original crunchy, no added salt. its the biz.

also, bought a heap of shit for my big ass carbup tommorow. im restricting to 24hours, and plan on doing a morning run before starting.

food for tommorows carbup:

m1 500ml greek yogurt, 2 bananas :grin:

m2 3 sesame long rolls+4 low-fat frankfurters :grin:

m3 same as m2 :grin:

m4 will be 2x wendys burgers :grin:

m5 500g choc ice cream. :grin:

NOT including the wendys, ive added up the macros of the above, they give me 495g carbs, 154 protein, and 145 fat. fats too high, but most of that is in the ice cream. looking foward to this shit!! hahaha. must remember to take pic tonight, i take pics friday nights, so that they are all taken in the same 'state', ie just before carbup.

gonna hit the gym for some back later this avo.

stuck to the plan, was a pretty loose/uncontrolled carbup, but as its a fortnight since last carbs, its passable. the future carbups will be weekly, so less excessive, cleaner and more precise. but todays:

m1 500g greek honey yogurt, 2x bananas, pancakes

m2 4 franks in 3 sesame rolls

m3 same as 2

m4 wendys double beef burger+chicken burger

m5 400g premium choc ice cream

did some fasted cardio this morning, low intensity, but damn near killed me.

work+squat workout tommorow to burn some glycogen!

update.

well diet wise things are sweet, but life is throwing me some curveballs. i honestly didnt feel any more energetic after carbup, not sure whether its because my insulin sensitivity is still shit, or because it was crap food. also due to EXTREME lack of sleep last 48hours, my post-carbup train was shithouse as. dissapointing, as this is supposed to be a good, strong workout, but life cant be helped.

in terms of hunger, these 2 days following the carbup, ive been fucken ravenous - obviously the big influx of cals has ramped up the metabo a bit. maybe theres something to this refeed jiggery-pokery :lol:

anyways, this weeks goals - get out alive :lol: , ive tightened up diet even more this week, and the carbup will be clean. im gonna recalc my cals later, and put it all here.

real talk bro....had to tidy up mine after the weekends binge fest

countless bottles of choc milk, 1 pounders, bacon and pancakes,4-5 sausage egg mcmuffins for breakfast and half eaten tubs of ice cream left in my wake...not to mention booze too :pfft:

curveballs will come, but just adapt bro stay strong :twisted:

this week ive switched my meat source to chicken, to do 2 things - drop my saturated fat down, and to give me more control over macros, as opposed to mince, which has a big effect on 2 macros. im counting 100g of chicken as 20g protein, if that isnt correct, please speak up and correct me!
