delts/cardio

warmups - 2 sets btn press (seated)

5 sets seated btn press 8-10reps, supersetted with lite btn press to fail.

5 sets machine side raise

5sets rear delt cable flies

20mins run

tommorow, morning run plus nzsm comp is on.

still carb cycling, in no rush to shrink, rehab on abductor is going well, was able to squat (light) for 1st time in many months this week. still not healed, but better.

Am currently taking an indepth look at the anabolic diet, and likely will be giving it a crack methinks.

NZSM was fucken cool man! good range of competitors, was a real eye opener! after watching the log-lifts comp a while back, i had a bit of thought about doing some strength training.. but didnt act on it. But i do really think i could benefit from trying a bit of this approach, which i plan to do. Just gotta research a program, and if i find i like it, maybe move to train in a more plifting freindly gym.. but lets not get ahead of ourselves :pfft:

Gutted bro, was an awesome watch, worth the sunburn.

inspired for sure, wanna get me some functional strength. im thinking of starting a slightly modded version of rippetoes program as soon as my bung leg is up to the squatting again - and i feel its nearly there. i hope so, cus im squatting with the p.t tommorow!!!!

pt session was a success, spent a good 15 mins just on stretching and activation shit, to help alleviate my abductor. seemed to help, as was able to squat to parralel, and front squat. still only light weights, but i have to remember that last time i tried to front squat, 30kgs gave me so much hip pain i had to stop - so doing 40k for 15 clean slow reps, is a big improvement. i really think its coming right! yesssss.

Pt - says my fr. squat form is mint, back squat is pretty good, minor adjustment made to knee tracking, and wants me to use a higher bar position so that when im standing, im not tilted foward at all - makes sense.

my 'teardrop' area is not firing like it should be, Which will be accurate as thats exactly what my physio said! coincidence? no.

so i have to focus on keeping my knees stable out of the hole, making sure the 'old ?vmo? (teardrop) is doing its job. she proved it to me by having me do db step-ups - left side was easy as pie, right side was terrible(abductor side).

treatment - regular stretching/massaging for abductor, and activation work for teardrop area. Seems to have worked cos tear's are dommed out today, from piss all weight - so they have been woken up. onwards and upwards! gonna try and get to gillies ave for a look this week..

Right to get to Gillies ave gym... it's at 99 Gillies avenue. If you're travelling along Gillies ave from the Greenlane side of town, its at the bottom of the hill before you start going up towards the motorway north, so it's on the left (at the traffic lights), literally 200metres before the motorway bridge/onramp.

The gym shares the same carpark as the Badminton hall and is the small freestanding building on the far end of the car park. Recommended times to go are Monday and Weds late afternoon, there should always be someone there then.

yea steak, thats the only thing thats stopping me - and im way smaller and weaker than you bro!! :grin:

but early days!

today did some back, a little cardio. totally sleep deprived, pretty much all week. rest tommorow, will try get some cardio in....

im finding out that no matter how clean you eat, how many supps you take, or how motivated you are - when your running on minimal sleep constantly, it puts limits on progress and potential.. :evil:
