also, just posting a milestone. i realised recently that since starting this journal, i have gained 40kgs. journal started in Jan 09' at 72kgs, now 112 in the morning. yes im a fatty, but its not 40kgs worth :pfft: :pfft: :pfft:

today i had a sneaky goal of strict 90k OHP. didnt get it, but still had an ok sesh. elbows are giving me real arseholes for some reason - i tend to have little to no issues with my elbows, but felt it aching a bit even on the ohp.. will pop a voltaren now, aka a bigjohn candy :lol:

You've just reassured me how crap my overhead is :pfft: Our flat bench is similar, but my best overhead is a 75kg push press, and you're doing 85kg strict :oops: :clap:

bro i put it down to 2 things. a sudden drop in bench volume, and bodyweight. Was benching 3-5 times a week, now 1-2. and bodyweight just keeps going up lol..

ITT form is a big one too, grip width, head position etc. post a vid brah!

I bench twice a week usually, flat one day and close grip the other. Bodyweights been stable for a while, going to be very slowly bringing it down now though. Wish I could post a vid, tried with squats a while back but my phone and laptop don't seem to get along :lol:

I'm happy with my form though, grip is roughly pinkys 1-2 inches inside the rings, head back at start of lift and then bring it through once the bar has cleared my head for lockout. Really I think it just comes down to me having weak shoulders. I naturally have wide and well built shoulders so never used to work them much, they only started getting attention this time last year. Have definitely gotten much stronger though, slowly but steadily.

sounds like youve got it all under control bro. the thought also struck me - maybe its not that my overhead is good, but my bench is shit :lol:

i am the king of niggles this week. knee is flared up again rediculous, but that should come right with rest. more worrying is a really annoying ache in my right scap - no matter how i stretch it, or what im doing it just feels like someones jammed a broomstick in there and i cant get it out. had it massaged, didnt help. gonna try baseball therapy and ice tonight.

today energy levels werent great, was yawning on the way to the gym. wanted to hit a pb on the incline and did, so happy with that. then did a bunch of shit trying to target my dodgy scap, but nothing really made me 'feel' it. hope the f*cker comes right.

well leadup to comp was shit, got sick the day after i flew up, and am still not right. but nevertheless had a good day, PB's in all the lifts, and 9/9.

will post my lift vids and a full rundown when i have more time, but very happy to get the PB's and still have more in the tank, as you will see from the vids. 8)

Ditto to what the others have said H....you looked strong with plenty left in the tank. Hope you had a 8) time in Aucks. Loved having you and Ali stay :nod: you were quiet as...must have been the cheese :wink: Next ones April so mark it in your calendar...tell Ali I need to her to help me run the table :wink: ...she was awesome :grin:
