today was ok, tried the 200 pull again, but still stalled at same point. i knew it was a bit of an ask, as i lost 2 weeks of training time after sheiko being sick, and had been in cal deficiet too. still got up to 185x1, but missed the 200. will not test again until ive had some more volume under my belt. I plan on giving more attention to my pathetic bench in the coming months. no point having a 2xb.w pull and less than b.w bench! :?

will be putting up more regular vids to track progress with bench once im into the swing of things 8)

today just did some flat bench up to 80x3, felt ugly and weak - just out of practice with bench setup, will come right quick. also did 6 sets of seated db press and 5 sets side raises, 3 sets rear raise. wanted to squat but no bbells free.

also saw a guy 6ft4"ish, 100-110kg, squatting 120 for reps.... ina squat suit, belt and wraps.....

Also bro with your eats, if you're trying to lean up- Have your carbs at breakfast, pre and post w.o and keep the sources cleaner like rice, brown rice, kumara etc.... Make the portions to suit! No cheese scrolls bro lol

today was interesting, first time doin rack pulls for ages. Was extremely valuable lesson, as i will explain below...

bench

up to 80x4

rack pull

up to 200x1

cable curls

4 sets 10-5 reps

c/g pulldowns

4 sets 8-10rep

well rack pulls proved a few things to me. I have missed 200 attempts from the floor twice in the last 6 weeks. both times i missed mid thigh, and i put it down to weak hips/glutes. but today i rack pulled 200 from under kneecap with a little more in the tank, so i know i am capable of locking it out. this makes me think maybe the position i am in at knee height when floor pulling is less than optimum, meaning i cant complete the lift. something i will look into for sure 8)

not doing a sheiko atm, auto regging it. have an ongoing knee problem, so have devised a plan accordingly. details will come as i go along...

i seem to always come off the flor easy, but ITT that cos im using more back to break it off the floor, so concentrating on getting pos chain stronger, so i can break it off the floor in a better position to lockout

how well do those cheesecakes transport bro  pack one on the train for sept 17

He has to get past Wellington to get to you and I don't think that cheesecake will be making it to yours. Sorry!

Ha! He's gotta get it off the island first, so you're both shit outta luck

*runs off to plan ambush of cheesecake truck*

Looks like fun bro, do you need a revolving oly bar to do those? I was trying clean and press the other day on a standard bar and it felt weird on my wrists once it got heavy.

i think so, yea.

and then went home for cheesecakes and cuddles

na, gave the cheesecake away to avoid a 'relapse'. And the canoodling was preworkout

Verdict?

will have another crack i think, probably need to 'dip' more, just practice. 8)

today just did some box squats, and spent the rest of the sesh doing sumo practice for assist. took a bunch of vid today, just put 140 on and dis singles, changing foot width, foot angle, and hip position. tried a bunch of combinations, as per vid.

form was terrible, alot to work on. my self-assesment:

*jerking to start - must stay tighter

*chest was not up enough

*gotta keep playing with foot angle

*gotta load up pos chain properly. related to num.1.

all in all suprised to get so close to my conv max first session. im committing to do sumo weekly as box squat assist, so will have plenty of time to suss form. will keep vidding aswell.

Question - sumoer's - any tips for avoiding catching your hands/fingers on your thighs? just talc?
