just did some back, and was a poo azz sesh. i pulled 170 in my 3rd week of keto, yet today 140 felt heavy as f*ck. its not the keto either, imo. its more to do with the fact that my stress levels are constantly through the roof, due to work. Im in the process of changing jobs, and i had an interview yesterday for a job that would/will change my whole life if i get it. And i mean everything will change, including training.

I firmly beleive that if i can get outta being stressed so much im pissed everyday, and get away from3-5am starts, my lifting missions will improve a SHITLOAD. thats the plan anyway, im willing to take the paydrop for the sake of being healthier and not stressed all the time.

ps- shelled out decent moolah for some magnesium citrate. glad i read the labels, as the blackmores range was all made of inferior types of mg, but the powdered healtheries stuff is citrate, 2g per serve. il have to look up appropriate dosages, but its the stuff. im taking it with my post/wout protein, just cos.

i think my hormone sys needs all the help it can get atm :nod:

Totally agree with you.

Being stressed out all the time is physiologically bad for your body not to mention a head *&^%. Good luck for the new job.

And congrats for completing your keto phase....that takes dedication.

well bigjohn tore up today at coast, but il leave the video to tell the tale..

i did a little bench, under steak and tinytraps watchful eyes. good news - my setup has improved heaps, and is still. bad news is ive def lost strength. but it shouldnt take long to come back. will be eating to train!

wendys didnt know what hit it - me and tt had 2 triple burgers each, john had a triple and a chicken, and tt finished off with 2 little burgers. 17 patties - cunts were cooking like madmen! :lol:

im loving eating normal again, but coming from such tiny meals, i feel like im eating heaps. but when i look at it on paper, it doesnt look like that much. any input, or estimations on cals?

m1 100g oats, 150g natural yogurt,35g p.p, banana

m2 150g br. rice, 180g chicken, dash of sweet chilli

m3 same

m4 same

pre train - 35g p.p, post train 35g p.p+magnesium

m5 180g tuna in oil, 2 eggs

m6 200g cottage cheese, 40g PB

did some squats yeasterday, after about 20mins of prehab/rehab/stretching/foam rolling.

The physio is def talking the talk, as he says my hips problem isnt tendonitis, that my glutes are not firing hence why the hip muscles are being strained, and lower back also taking more strain than it should.

So after doing a heap of glute activation stuff (it all looks gay as) not only was there no hip pain, but i couldnt even feel them - so very happy. And today i have mean as glute doms, il take that as a good sign. though after squats i did step-ups, which may have contributed.

im benching tommorow, and il be videoing it for comparison. ive done a fair amount of work on setup since the last bench vid, so il join the 2 up and post in here. should be interesting...

bench update.

As promised, ive put in a clip from 8-9 weeks ago of me benching, and then 2 clips from today. definitely feels more stable etc, but of course a heap of room for improvement still. Forgot to add, the 2 clips from today are max-grip (indexes on rings) whereas the first clip was close-grip (pinkys on rings).

hence why todays benching was done from the middle j-hooks. other than that, advices welcome!

Powerhouse - a guy was training at netfitt today, quite solid and wearing a powerhouse shirt...... but all i saw him do were lat pulldowns and curls! :lol:

anywhoo, todays train was really just to assess where im at post keto, before i embark on anything more elaborate. started with foam rolling and glute activation shit, then hit up deads. lotsa warmup/workup sets, and needed to see where im at. just like before, even 140 felt heavy for reps :doh: ... but got 150 up, then 160 up, then threw on my bber belt and tried 170. came off the floor sweet, but i was stuck in a static hold a few inches from lockout, motherfucker wouldnt budge. the upside was form was good.

i pulled an ugly 180 months ago with a good belt (borrowed pman's :pfft: ), so strength has def dropped. :evil: but not by too much..

after deads did some db rows, then about 6-7 sets of pull-through's. first time doing these, and i like them. managed to do the stack for reps.

finished with some core work or should i say gut work :lol:
