of course its not just caused by steroids. its an infection. u can get them from a ingrown hair or a simple pimple/boil that gets infected.

Good hygiene prevents most things but still don't forget your immune system is a sweet piece of biology you gotta expose it to the environment for it to work properly.

That link is of a sebaceous keratin cyst it's not the same as that abcess which is the result of an infection but it's pretty gross.

The things people find to put on youtube never ceases to amaze me, but not as bad as some pics I've seen of infections. Talking to someone who got to a doctor in the early stages he was given anti biotics which cleared everything up without the need for surgery.

It's different for everyone bro - also depends on what stuff your injection as well. Some injections are sorer and swell more than others...luck of the draw really. As long as you practice safe injection methods then you've done what you can to avoid...
