Wouldn't want to turn up to a comp with small biceps then ay...might say something about how low (or not) you had to go ;-)

Tonight was boulder shoulders and it went superbly!

Seated shoulder presses warmed up 30 reps at 20kg, then 4 sets of 30kg 12-15 reps squeezing each one throughout the movement and keeping the tension on even as I went down....not super slow but not dropping them down fast.

We hit a seated press machine next, the arms go straight up in front of you and we chose the grip where the palms face inwards. hammer-style 8)

Went down to the stack for 2 sets and last set training partner snuck a 5kg dumbbell on top which i didn't see. Repped out 8 on 2nd last set, then on last set I got 12 out I was stoked!

Next up a side lat raise machine, we did these strict and only 3/4 stack. Set after set, last set was a drop set I must have done 25 reps in total for that one, dropping weight 3 times man the delts felt good. The seat was high and we left it like that, different position than normal, I like different.

Finally we did exercise with a cable and a bar, dragging it up the body until chest height and down again.

I looked in the mirror on my last exercise today and got a bit of a shock looking at myself in the mirror. I don't see myself as this big and freaky to be honest I'm still an average dude working hard and to see a guy with wide pumped boulder shoulders (I'm talking myself up here and sounding like a wanker I know ;-)), but I was surprised. My arms are bigger, shoulders, and the top of my chest pops off my frame like a slab of meat not some gradual bump. Kind of freaky so that stoked me, and then I hit the scales and it read 109kg! This was a feraky workout as I had just discussed with a bodybuilder in the gym about how large rest periods see the most growth and I'd just had 2 days off in a row.

I'm on a high....not "I'm high"..."on a high" :?

When people start double taking at the supermarket you know your a freak Android. Id say people have been doing that for a while to you :pfft:

Do you always train with a training partner? How many do you have?

Hehe seems to be when I go over 100kg people start noticing ;-)

I can train ok by myself, am quite self-motivated but find a training partner even on 'off' days gets you going. Same training partner since last year, I do train occasionally with others when they ask.

Do you train by yourself or have a training partner Soundsgood?

Leg day today and pics of my Legs too.

Not motivated at all today I had a glass of wine last night (first one in 3-4 weeks) and woke up extra tired and unmotivated. I assume its the wine as I slept through the night ... never again. Didn't get drunk but even feeling 'off' isn't going to get me closer to my goals.

I forced oats down me twice this morning, last one about an hour before the workout.

Cruised through the workout can't believe I did 4 sets of squats with a 20 plate each side...now that's taking it easy!

Leg Extensions no big weight increase. I placed my hand above knee on the outer sweep muscle and pointed toes in and squeezed this area alot. I find with leg Extensions you can move the pressure point around and not just with toes in and out that's an obvious one, but also squeezing different parts. I could squeeze the top of my quads at the top of the movement if I want, sometimes i do....just a handy machine the Leg Extension and definitely not just for cutting up Legs in my humble opinion.

Next up lying hammy curls, light weight, 15+ reps per set, 4 times. Then did training partners stack for 8 reps to finish off.

Last up seated calf raises with 40kg, lots of sets.

That was Legs! Last week was two days in a row and lots of REST so I took photos to show the growth. If you go back 2 weeks you'll see my Quads, they're smaller but wasn't taken when they were blown up like they did today with high rep work.

Hammies, hard to see them in the side shot but imo I want much more than I have I'm sure you'll agree. And the Quad can rise up off the Leg a bit more too side-on. Let me know what you think the weaknesses are...am interested in opinions I know they'll all be useful as I plan what areas to hit next. I'm after symmetry first, size 2nd so if you see an imbalance then holla, cheers!

Holy crap... those are some freakin treetrunks ya got there Android! Look like a beast in that photo a while back with those ripped arms too mate. I'm finding it really inspiring reading your journal actually. I'm a similar height to you, and I notice you mention you started out at 68kg years ago, which is around where I started too at the beginning of 2007. I'm up to 86kg so far, and while my gains have slowed significantly now, reading journals from guys like you who are training so hard and eating so much day in and day out is great motivation for me to STEP IT UP and keep gaining. So yeah, thanks.

Oh congrats on the wee kid too mate. You must be stoked. Just for gods sake be careful when you're walking around areas where she could be playing on the floor  Slight size difference between you two lol.

Today was Back, felt a bit off-key today but persevered as my muscles don't care too much about my mental state really they just care about resistance or not.

Fly out tomorrow morning for the Aussie Pro show, am doing 2 days in Sydney R and R, scout out IT over the ditch, and then on to Melbourne on Friday.

Will have pics when I get back for sure I'm so looking forward to Kai Greene's performance and Troy Alves classic physique.

Will train at Dohertys gym and see if I can get a pic with a Pro, I'll be a cheeky c**t and ask them to look like they want their photo with me rather than the usual one of people wanting one with them LOL ... we'll see :-)
