I've put on 8kg of bulk in 4 months...

Actually the weird thing is Oct 25th show I was 91 kg, so in theory I've put on 17kg in 4 and 1/2 months! lmao

The post-comp rebound is not gains at all but just the body springing back to it's comfortable size again so that's kind of playing with numbers...but shoot I hope weight swings of that amount is safe.

Anyway....I am 108kg now, so from 100 to 108kg in 4 months is 8kg of bulk.

My guesstimate is when I rebounded up to 100kg in 2 weeks my b/f went up to 8% (skin fold tests yuck! which include water retention therefore indicate you are fat when you're not cause I can't see me putting on 3kg of fat in 2 weeks LOL).

And I am only guessin my b/f today is 14% maybe it's 12 :-)

If it is 12% then I've made a muscle gain of 4kg, the other 4kg is fat and water (again water is included in skinfold tests)

If it is 14% then I've made 2kg of muscle gain and 6kg of fat...I like 12% better after thinking about it.

Ahhhhh yes very observant Biggurl...or should that be Sherlock Biggurl ;-)

When I started the Journal I wasn't at the top of the post-comp springboard effect. At least I don't think I was as the next 2kg went on in a week too easily.

It was after another 2 weeks of no growth at 100kg that I figured ..."This is the top returning weight"

i cant wait till i can start a bulk from a low bodyfat!!

Best thing I did was creatine load with plain ol' monohydrate straight after the diet and continue with it for as long as you make a gain, enjoy the water retention it's anabolic-as...good luck mate!

From the way you're looking already Android, I think it could be a very very big year for you come the nationals

Chest and Biceps today.

I don't normally pair these two up but why not after 2 days rest I'm a day down so this is an easy way to catch-up.

Chest I did 2 exercises, flat bench press and seated press machine. Nothing special, no heavy weight just repped out until it hurt alot and then stopped, repeated for 3 working sets each.

Biceps was all bicep-peak work and 1 lower bicep exercise which I did first up, preacher curls. Did the stack for 3 sets, went all out as I wasn't doing lower bicep again in the workout.

Next up was the one where you lay front-down on an incline and do supinating curls. I did both arms together then went up in weight and did alternate sup curls. I did about 6 sets of these I totally loved the pump tonight.

Pre-workout was Superpump250 and Purple Wraath which I found out lately that Controlled Labs who make the stuff is actually owned by MuscleTech, no idea if it's true or not so dont take my word for it, someone might know.

Anyway, next up was e-z-curl bar with 10kg each side 4 good sets full range good squeeze, good pump from these at this point I wish I'd popped a Panadol so I could keep going. I tried to go past the point where it hurts and I normally stop, I did a couple of reps past that point so pretty happy.

Lastly I did single arm cable curls, 4 sets good bicep peak squeeze.

That was it, they hurt right now which is ok I prefer them to hurt a day later but will see what happens ay, all comes down to eating and resting now to get the growth.

I was talking to a Grant the other day about his bicep muscle peaks. He says he does single arm cable curls and works the whole muscle belly, then he does lots of top half reps to failure (and beyond).

How do you do bicep muscle peak working exercises?

Yeah always cable curls, great exercise. I think squeezing at the top helps for any bicep curl, and supinating curls make the muscle under the peak grow which in turn pushes up the peak too. Top half reps to failure I must remember that one ;-) cheers mate

I've found hammer curls are good.

I always do heavy hammer curls so they aren't squeezed at the top, I guess if I did light ones it'd help the peak, cheers man!

What bicep exercise do you guys do that takes out the forearm? My forearms give out before my bicep which pisses me off. Machine preacher curl kills my forearms.

make a conscious effort before every curl to relax your grip, there is no need to grip the bar hard which uses forearms, every squeeze of the grip you do is wasting what is literally a limited amount of workload you have for your arms. Loosen up a bit and lower the weight alot. Absolutely no need to grip any curl bar tightly imo (oh maybe cables you do else it'll ping back on you)
