haha shit I didn't even notice :pfft:
Bugger me I also didnt notice as well :pfft: :pfft: .

Quick or the Dead ay~!

Okay I'll use my own Journal then if I have to

Had a big feed day today. Felt hungry and didn't hold back on food.

I had the double-serve shake and 200gms of oats this morning with a multi-vit.

I cooked 1.2 kg of beef and had a container of rice it's about 3 cooked cups worth. Also took another 200gms of oats with me and ate that as well.

Got home early and at 5pm I had a can of baked beans and the last of my beef before the workout at 7 (finished eating all that by 5:45pm).

Had a Gaspari Superpump250 drink for pre-workout, and Xtend during the workout with water. I drink about 3 litres in a workout, I get real thirsty and don't hold back. I honestly can't workout without a water bottle or I am forever at the water fountain between every set.

Tonight was Shoulders and I had a mission to push up 50kg dumbbells ahead. I warmed up on a side lat machine for 3 sets, 45 reps first set then 2 sets a bit heavier just short of 20 reps each.

Warmed up, went over and set up the seated dumbbell press area. We got 20, 30, 35, 40 and 50kg dumbbells around us.

I worked up 20, 30, 40 (last two weights stopped at 8 reps).

50kg got a hand up with one dumbbell and pressed out 4 on my own, assisted for 2, then drop-set to 40kg. But was exhausted so pushed out 2, then down to 30kg and got out 6.

Overall ecstatic.

I weighed myself before the 50kg set and freaked when I saw myself sitting on 105kg! wtf. Ahh, yesterday was a rest day and it was Legs and Back before that so no wonder I was hungry. I expect to drop 1/2 kg by tomorrow my weight seems to fluctuate depending on the tides it seems. This gave me some motivation for the big lifts ahead and seemed to work wonders. I felt pretty big and strong mentally.

I did calves yesterday on REST day. Yeah I spent 30 mins on 2 exercises just hammering the fuckers, set after set. To me it's still a REST day I do abs or calves on rest days if they feel neglected (and I aint doing abs during bulking so its calves instead). Anyhoo....

After the press I did some behind the neck barbell presses with a light weight for 50 reps, then a bit heavier for 20 each set. Then sets of cabnle pullups up the front of the body. What are these called? And I am not sure what they do either. I thought they do front delts but some say it does back, whatever I concentrated on the front delts and worked them ok.

Then I did dumbbell side lat raises again strict, never bringing to the front, cocking the wrist inwards so the elbows remain above the hands when outstretched and can only do 10kg dumbbells for 12-15 reps.

Finally, rear delts was seated and bent-over side raises.

Felt good doing the heavy weight P.B lets hope it translates to growth.

My biceps are an inch bigger than the comp in October (3 months ago) so some of that is bulk some is lifting heavy weights and some is genuine muscle size increase. I'll take any way I can :-)

PWO was a double serve shake and 50gms Glucose.

Got home and finished off some baked beans and beef I had left and at 9:30pm I had 150gms of oats in a bowl and 200gms of beef.

I think I've eaten nearly 1.5kg of beef, over .5kg of oats, and .2kg of rice, and a banana by today's end. Plus 3 double-serve protein shakes - phew!

yay good work on the shoulder press! see what a bit of peer pressure can do ;)

and that description of side raises is awesome, reassures me that I am doing them right... my pb is 5kgs... haha... pathetic

5 kg strict is better than 10kg swinging them to the front :-) awesome Laura!

Tonight's workout wasn't very satisfying. It's rare that I don't have a great workout and it started out great.

First up was the flat bench barbell press, yippee havent' done these for a while. warmup on 60kg for 30 reps, then 100kg for 15 reps, and did 2 good sets of 140kg, 6 reps each before a final set at 100kg for 12 reps.

Next up was incline dumbbell press superset with cable flyes. That was chest.

Then for biceps, had just warmed-up on preachers when I got introduced to a nice chick in the gym by my training partner. She competed last year in NABBA for the first time and is prepping for this year now, she has the body of a goddess. I think she'd be a great physique girl but she's doing figure. Just watching her train she trains harder than most guys I've seen.

Anyway it upset my focus and I ended up just doing a set of Frank Zane specials, lying on an incline bench face down and do dumbbell curls liek that. You can't cheat or swing it's impossible and extremely strict and targets the peak only.

Left the gym feeling like I did a half-arse job and disappointed with myself vowing to return tomorrow and finish off biceps.

We'll see, focus Android focus.

I like the sound of these. :) I usually do cable curls lying on the floor, again so you cant cheat or swing and there is a constant resistance but I will give the incline bench curls a try next time. :) Oh and dont worry, most of us get distracted by hot chicks! :pfft:

Just experienced the best Tricep workout in a loooong time!!!

I dropped 2 Panadol and 2 Nutrex Ignites as I left home to go for a workout on my own at Les Mills. Was totally focused I don't make a habit of Panadols but they are good for allowing you to blow up your arms without feeling any lactic acid pain whatsoever.

I warmed up on tricep cable pushdowns and went down to the stack on the 4th set and did another 2 sets at that weight whatever it was. I was able to squeeze at the end, and didn't let the weight come back above parallel.

Next one I did was a Tricep French press (I think it's called that) with the Ezy-curl bar and 5kg each side. The difference between this and skullcrushers is that you extend your arms out at 45-degrees so for the duration of the set there is no point of relaxation for the muscles.

I could really feel with the light weight the squeeze I was applying to the muscle. I did a couple of these sets before adding another 5kg each side, then another 5, for a few sets. It was the best feeling I've had with this exercise for a long time and although my Triceps were numb by this point from the Panadol I could feel they were swollen. Reminded me of when I tried iSatori H+Blocker it does the same thing blocking out the lactic acid pain.

I went on to kickbacks next with 10kg then 12.5 kg. Usual style bent-over a bench and steady kickbacks. Sometimes my shoulders kick in on this one but I couldn't feel them so I kept going until my Triceps were exhausted on every set. Final set I rest-paused and then went back to 10kg for 3 more reps that's all I could do after about 5 sets on each arm.

Finale exercise was the seated Tricep pushdown machine. I went down to the stack on the 3rd set and squeezed out another 4 sets, I could feel and see in the mirror they were swollen and worked hard. They are starting to look how I like them, sticking right out the side when relaxed :-)

3 hours later and my arms measure 18 1/4", with biceps worked and measuring straight afterwards I am sure they'd be 19"

I woke up this morning feeling tired of eating. I ignored and had a bowl of oats and later a can of baked beans and steak.

After about 11am the feeling left and I was back into full swing eating kumara and more beef.

My life revolves around eating, no sooner do I finish eating then it's time to cook some more. At the moment we are just staying around home waiting for the misses to go into labour so I am making the most of the situation and packing on as much bulk as I can. I'm 106kg today in the gym and I'm going to have to buy new trousers pretty soon. Don't mind tight t'shirts but tight trousers ... LOL

Time to go and eat again tomorrow night is Legs. Will have another can of baked beans just before bedtime, stock up on as much carbs as I can.

Ohh, before you get bored reading all of this, man I'm sorry it's so long!

I snuck in to the gym yesterday on my REST day and did a hammy-only workout.

Only thing to report on is I think my extreme lower back is weak and so I feel this get tired before my Hammys do on stiff-legged deadlifts. So I will be working on hyper-extensions and lighter deadlifts from now on to pick up this weak area which may affect Hammy growth in the future.

Bro, your bulk is going so awesume! It is hard to force food down when your not hungry, but you're a machine!

Just a word of warning, Labour can take a while, maybe a couple days, and your missus probably wont be cool with you if you pop out for a quick leg train so don't ask :pfft: :pfft: :pfft:

nah seriously all the best for the child birth \:D/

I see you did alot of tricep pushdown sets. Do you use the bar or a rope? I find I get alot more burn with the rope cos I can extend my triceps past my waist, but I can go heavier with the bar.

Yeah it is definitely all about food for bulking up.

I've seriously told the misses I'm going to pack my own pregnancy bag with protein powder in shake bottles and water and protein bars ready to go.

Imagine 8 hrs in the hospital and no protein around for miles, nightmare!
