Yup but I finished up with HGH a while ago... it's in this Journal somewhere but it's 5-6 weeks ago from memory so not sure it's helping me gain this time around.

Looks like you have leaned out a bit mate - gaining weight and maintaining abs good indicator your meal timings working. Am do this as well - was unintentional - just a very comfortable way to eat around training to make sure I have just enough fuel to get through the workout and recover.

China not far away now - will talk to the gypsie and organise a meal or something before you go. kids were a bit busy last weekend :?

I just find feeding myself the minimum carbs by snacking during the day on them as I work, and then just loading them up for 2 important times (waking up and pre-workout) kinda guarantees that I am not over-eating on them.

had a great Leg day yesterday.

Leg curls to warm-up and then in the 15-20 rep range.

SLDL with 60kg and by the 4th set I had the plates touching the ground which for my tight hammies is first time...ever I think. Straight back, straight legs.

Walking lunges with 5kg in each hand my sets are 10 steps up and 10 steps back then rest.

Seated calf raise next and during this my Quads cramped up had to stretch them out. Just worked with 60kg of plates and repped out for 5 sets.

Leg extensions last and some one-legged ones before doing them with the stack and toes pointed inwards.

I could hardly walk out the gym and down the stairs properly, loved it!

Today was Arms, I call this a feel good day LOL.

Ended up walking out with arms well ahead of 20", nudging 21".

Have been doing my sets of triceps, biceps slightly differently this last month. If I do one-armed exercise I do like 5-6 reps then change arms...not going to exhaustion just stopping well early and switching sides. I can get about 5 sets on each arm like this before tiring on a top weight....gives me about 30 reps at top weight on each arm and wicked pumps.

Exercises were a mix of triceps and biceps.

Seated tricep pushdown, cable pushdown, cable curl, cable kickbacks, lying prone ezy-bar curls (on a lying rowing bench thing, the bar is under your body and you curl...it kills the bicep at peak contraction), reverse cable curls, more seated tricep pushdowns.

Really enjoying my training lately and not concerned about weight or form.

Am doing a nice mix of styles, sometimes hitting multiple sets of a top weight and then other exercises I just work up the weight and walk away.

Back yesterday and Chest workout today after a rest day on Friday.

Back-wise I focused on my Lats which I've not bothered with directly lately as been working on rhomboids and lower traps as much as possible.

I did some deliberate "leaning back" seated rows. not because the stack was heavy but just feeling the different angle it hits. I am usually quite strict with rows and back position so this was just a usual "change it up" session.

Chest today and first exercise managed to work up to 150kg on the incline bench press. Did 6 reps at 140kg and a double at 150kg no spotter and no problem could have done more with someone there.

Incline dumbbell presses next and worked up to 50kg and doing 3 working sets of 12 reps each. Considered going higher but already done max effort and reps are good for bodybuilding so left it at that.

Lying cable flyes last and worked up to 30kg dumbbell flyes. Did working sets at this weight and was an effort to get out 6 reps on the last set but no niggles and plenty of goodness in the chest area.

That was Chest, 3 basic exercises.

Saw a few guys from the Guangzhou BB show held yesterday. This group is I think sponsored from one gym photo is from a friend at the gym.

Bear in mind this is a local show, BBing isn't popular in China, and no BB'er from Guangzhou ever does well in the Beijing Nationals. Pretty decent size and effort from the guys in the gym

Today was Shoulders, had a day off yesterday and Chest still feeling sore so needed that extra day in between.

Followed a Phil Heath shoulder workout, but looking at the Ramy pics maybe I should have followed one of his instead!

Pressing up first and was a Hmmer Strength machine that makes you press directly up with weights inline with your ears. It's a front press but not too much front like when you do a military press....anyhoo...Went up to a nice heavy weight for 4 sets and that put me in the right place for a good workout with pumped delts.

Seated dumbbell side raises next and worked up to 15kg and nice and strict for another 4 working sets.

Bent-over raises for rear delts next, just needed 10kg to make it hurt and be difficult enough for me in the 12-15 rep range.

Front raises next with the ez-curl bar and 20kg. Repped out 4 sets nice and steady.

Then a new exercise for me. Lat pulldown machine with 2 separate handles on the cables. Stand and leaning back and row. Works the rear delts and was really surprised with where it targeted the muscle. Went reasonably heavy was 100 on the stack so 1/3 and rear delts hurt while arms etc stayed cold...awesome new exercise for me.

Lastly, 10 x 7 set on a seated press machine. Reps were killing me in the final 3 sets I had to drop the weight back, not done these before...I usually finish on a press to pump blood around but not 7 sets of them!

Left the gym feeling satisfied with the workout and what it can do.

Free tip, in case like me you've gone thru life not knowing...there's a cough medicine called Gees Linctus.

It's not on the shelves in chemists but if you ask for it they can go to their backroom and get some. It's opiate-based (morphine) and yeah...I wish I had known about it years ago LOL. Forget sugared OTC syrups, ask for this s**t and just say you've tried all others but still have the nagging dry cough.

Agree, it's so easy to talk like you know something on a forum but if you can't even get to the place you're pretending to know about...or worse you wanna hide your pic!!! LOL then there should be warning bells going off.

Gofigure has the Nationals for 2011 ... nearly 2 yrs ago :shock:

There were 4 in my class 90-100kg...the big guy in 2nd and 3rd pics on the right is in the 100kg+ class (Nathan O'Hearn).

I've only ever placed 1st in the 4 shows I've entered, and got an overall win in one of those shows as well. With alot of thanks to people in the sport for critiquing and guiding me like Jo Stewart, Mark Stewart, Jamie Cameron, Tom Terry, Mike Kingsnorth, Justin Rhys, Matt Clarke, Naera Johnson, Dean Geddes. You can't aim high if you don't talk to people who have been there before...they've done it, that's why we seek them out. We don't seek out guys from a forum with the most posts or someone everyone likes, we pick those that have been there and achieved at a level as high or higher than we want to go.

like the Exponents it was his last time maybe :pfft: seems like if he has the time he turns up tho, wouldn't discount him from turning up again in the years to come

I don't understand why Android got suspended? All he did was post photos of a bodybuilding competition of which GF was one of the competitors pictured.

These photos are in the public domain already. How's Android supposed to know that GF doesn't want his photos posted on here?

Doesn't seem fair that he got suspended. Seemed like a fair call out from Android.

Guys, it's only a 24-hour suspension. I'm sure Android will survive it.

As for why he was suspended, it was for reposting his baiting of Genetic Freak in this topic, knowing the mods had just removed his similar comments from another topic. (And yes, the mods and I have a fair amount of sympathy for Android - we haven't been impressed by GF's attitude lately either.)

To put things in perspective, GF's comments got him suspended for a week.

We do try to be fair about this, you know!
