Arms today but decided just Biceps since Tris get a lot of attention already.

Standing dumbbell curls got up to 30kg, 2 sets of 3 and not to failure.

Then my fav lying forward on incline for dumbbell curls using 15kgs.

Then cable one -arm at a time lots of sets different grips, reverse, normal, twisted out a bit etc.

Last was t-bar curls on cable went down to almost the stack for some 8 rep sets.

Done, swole, out of there.

Really finding the large Monster cans perefect for pre-training lately with 170mg caffeine, taurine, and sugar in each large can.

Hammies day today and just 2 days after the last Quad workout and another 2 PBs.

Actually feels like I'm doing a Leg workout and a Quad workout at the moment not able to hit Hammies with consecutive exercises in such a packed out gym. Am heading over to BTS on Wednesday to see what that's like at 5:30pm and if it's better I'm switching for a while until Les Mills cuts memberships to a more reasonable level....like never  we'll see

2 days after Squats and I hit another PB by working up to 4 reps @ 5pps. So I had to put 10s on and try a 240kg Squat again...and I did it. Awesome am still going up. My guess is when the PBs stop and slow down I'll change by dropping the strength exercises and going back to 3-4 set squats but they'll be at like 180kg instead. Sit on that for a month or two and return to this strength training again. Just a thought.

Next up was walking lunges and did extra long steps than usual around the basketball court, so 30 step sets. Did 4 of these and Legs were pumped.

Lying Leg curls next and went down to the stack on this for x3 5 rep sets and not to failure, which I don't remember ever doing before either ...another PB.

Done and dusted. Still just on 1ml Test-E 200mg/ml EOD (ooops correction...been Sus250 lately will switch back to Test-E in a week, memory fading....) and it seems to suit me for this size and food intake. I am not ready to aim for 125kg but in May there could be more time to focus on doing just that. I'll consider cruising next month and then I need to drop a few % bf before stepping up to the 125kg mark. That's my current thinking anyway, subject to change at any time.

Nice mate,

You sort those issues with ya knee on squats?

Yeah I think so....as in, for up to 180kg I don't use wraps and concentrate on keeping my knees outwards mate. It's less tiring than the first few times I tried so something has strengthened up.

Then when I use Leg wraps it's as solid as anything. But now that u remind me...I'll have to video a 220kg though as I'm not looking at my knees at that weight - I'm kinda looking upwards and praying :-|

cheers

Due to splitting Legs into 2 workouts I'm playing catch up with other body parts.

So today was Chest and Back. Hit 2 PBs today and patted myself on the back as I walked out the gym.

2 exercises, bench press and deadlift.

Worked up to 180kg and did 1 rep no spotter around, last time I did 2 sets of 2 at 180 but today I wanted to try 190. I got a guy to watch out for me and did 1 rep @ 190kg f*ck yeah! Was a touch and go but no help.

Next time I need to do 160kg before trying 190kg so I am not tired like todaft doing 180 was too much.

Next sumo deadlift and I've never been able to lift 220 off the ground conventionally, today I did that plus a single 230kg lift after that one. Was really hard and first time wasn't mentally prepped so it didn't budge...stepped back, reset, and lifted it up...was slow but never stalled. Just belt, no wraps and no straps.

[self Edit: too soon]

Yeah SG was telling me the same, if I know I can do 180 just skip and try 190 pretty much. Will do a few at 160 next time.

Re: fitness is a good point but standing in front of mirrors isn't really that exhausting bro. Eyes can get a bit tired tho

You know what I mean  you remember

Quads today and no surprise but Squats were first.

Used a rack that let me grab the bar wide like next to the plates and I used an extra wide stance, and redted the bar below my traps and more on the delts for all lifts to see what it was like.

It was different. You don't quite fall into a hole and you have to push yourself down to go parallel ... well I have to if that's not the norm.

Worked up to 5pps and did 3 sets of 2, not to failure, actually last set I did 3 but only cos I was being watched by Garry Jones.

That took like 1/2hr at least to get done.

my lower back was pumped and uncomfortable after 1st working set

Then box Squats, first time for me. Worked up to 3pps and did 3 sets of 5 reps. Put leg wraps on but not sure of you're supposed to...just did.

I wanted to do heavy walkouts but an hour had past almost!

Last was standing calf raises and 1/2, 3/4, then full stack for 4 working sets. Was tired tbh and just wanted to put my feet up...like now :-)

time for a comparison photo for Legs.

Pic on the left is taken today (23 Mar 2012) and pic on the right was taken at Xmas (24 Dec 2011).

I can feel my inner legs or Hammies rubbing together all the time way more than I could before. Had to buy new jeans cos they rubbed a hole right through. And my left quad which has a rounder sweep looks better much better.

Overall tape measure before was 28" after a Leg workout, now I get 28" anytime cold and haven't measured after a workout since they haven't really pumped up with the low volume.

For me, in 3 months these are the quickest gains I've seen on my Legs in a while. 4 years ago when I had no Legs whatsoever I had good gains back then, but they were noob gains which come easy at the start.

oh forgot today's gym visit.

All the flat benches were taken on a Saturday afternoon @round 4pm, what gives don't people have a life?

So I knew I had to do some shoulder work to improve my benching but also needed to do benching. My solution was incline bench presses.

Worked up from the bar adding a plate each time to 140kg and then did 4 sets of 4 reps.

A flat bench came free so I grabbed it and just started with 140kg, no warm-up. It felt super heavy so the combination of not warming up to this exercise plus all the incline sets was evident. This wasn't going to be a 180 or 190kg bench.

I did 2 sets at 140kg, 4 reps then 6 reps, before dropping back to 100kg and just doing speed work. Got out 8 reps driving the weight up fast.

That was my workout.

Tomorrow I will start with sumo deadlifts, and then some barbell rows, and finish with some Arms.

My biceps just down where they join at the bottom feels sore in a good way, as if I'd done a tonne of preachers. Seems to be the bench press that causes it. Must be a weak point in the whole lifting process so not concerned just yet.

Took a pic and vid of my back at the 120kg mark. Thought Id never reach this for a while so before I drop any weight LOL better get them done.

Really happy with way upper lat flows into the rear delt and tucks under the tricep....personal preference anyhoo

Apologies for the bright lighting

what weight do you expect to cut down to?

Thought about cutting with everyone else this year for the Nats but not go so far as compete...so goal would be 8%.

I think I'm 14%sh so take out bloat and water and losing 6% will ptly cost me 10kg.

So 110kg @ 8%.

Today I did deadlifts. Wasn't planning on doing a 1RM but repping over 200 isn't my idea of fun so I did 5-6 reps at 180 then a single at 220kg.

My PB was last week and it was 230kg, so I went up to 240kg...what could possibly go wrong?

Looked at the weight and although it's good to not limit your self-belief I am a realist and you can't just keep adding 10kg every week forever (can you?). So I rolled the bar onto a 20kg plate each side which gives it a 1 inch lift. Mentally it told me that this is now a possible lift.

I video'd it in case I fainted, threw up or blood came out of somewhere but none of that happened. First attempt at lifting it off the ground failed....(this happened with the 220 just earlier too). 2nd attempt it came up, stalled, and I just muscled it up from there. I need to try snorting the white powder before I lift maybe... :pfft:

You wouldn't know it by my form but this is my sumo style LOL. Not sure sumo is right for me I have a long reach so as soon as I squat down just a little I can grab the bar so I must try and lean back more next time and maybe a wider grip would help.

After this I did 100kg barbell rows, then shoulder presses in a hammer strength machine with 3pps. Not bad as I felt like going home after the deadlift!

240. is that all? (srs)

Np, I'm not a PL and not used to lifting heavy weights.

Fuarrrrk looking Animal in your back pic/vid. It's insane seeing how fast your PBs are falling week and after week.

Going awesome bro!

Cheers mate. Beginners gains for now...wonder what theyll settle on ay.

Missus saw the deadlift vid and seemed disappointed that I just dropped the weight, she was expecting a clean and jerk it seems

you'll pull that a lot more easily if you ditched all the soft rubber off your feet. Try to drive the floor away from you rather than pick up the bar..of course the rubber shoes would soak up a lot of your power in this vid

try it and see how ya go.

incidently your back pic is sick!
