It's always handy to have Amoxicillin or Cephalexin in the house even if you only take it once a year to get over something that happens just when you don't need it too. Doctors over here prescribe these two so it's common.

Throat all cleared up and felt pretty good this afternoon, had a couple of redbulls instead of normal pre-workout powder.

Biceps are hurting like mad from Back workout on Tuesday, then yesterday during Shoulders could feel them sore and weak. Today with Triceps again sore which kinda interfered with my behind the head tricep extensions, at least picking up the dumbbell and getting it above my head was a mission.

So just did Triceps today, close-grip bench no record-breaker was 100kg bench, overhead cable press with the stack, pushdowns of various kinds with the stack.

Felt like a good workout and was the 2nd Tricep workout this week, just trying to pack size onto the horseshoe. Have had feedback that I need more size at the top of the horseshoe so really concentrating less on the squeeze at the outstretched arm and more on a heavy weight at the start of the movement...so sometimes I don't even straighten my arm which kinda looks like partial reps but am trying it out to see if it works. Feels right to me, time will tell.

Hit 2 PBs today, is usually my day off but worthwhile going to this one. Met up with SG and his crew and we kicked off with Chest and a seated HammerStrength machine. Just kept adding plate after plate until it maxed out the bars holding them at 4.5 pps. I wanted to try 5 plates each side but it only fitted a thinner 10kg. Nvm still a PB

Then another HammerStrength seated press think we did 3 pps for a few sets, then a decline and doing higher rep sets, 12-15.

Left the guys to carry on with their Chest workout my biceps were sore and tired theyve been like that since Tuesdays workout. So went for some Squats while the Squatmeister was in the house. Have been working on my form this last 4 weeks and was back up to 200kg Squats with superb form, textbook, perfection, yet graceful :lol:

Did 6 reps at 180kg with belt, last rep I stayed in the hole longer than usual and then up. Next I wrapped my Legs and added another pps for 220kg. First time in prolly 7 years that I've used wraps and felt good and safe. SG was spotting me in case I crumbled but I got out 3 reps without a spot (I think, correct me if I'm wrong SG) and was totally stoked...but just kept my cool around a pack of dudes... as u do :pfft:

Awesome productive workout today for strength and left the guys to it. They're all looking big but SG looks ready for a show tomorrow. During the HammerStrength presses his leanness really showed...realized later how pissed they must have been to see me sculling back a big can of Monster and a Carbo-Cola, ohhh yeah!

The boys couldn't get over how full and thick you are looking, and were surprised the 220 was a PB, you made it look so easy. And yup it was 3 full reps with no spot at all. I liked the Velcro wraps too, tucking in at the end can be a pain, how did they feel? Despite what you were saying before the lift you looked very confident through the lift and form was spot on. I have a feeling 240 wouldn't be far off now \:D/

The wraps felt really comfortable mate. My last ones used to cut into behind my knees but these actually felt "supportive" and I wish I had brought them a year ago. Def won't be doing heavy Squats without them now and can see 240 for 2 reps no spotter as achievable soon. Just needed to get that 5-plater out of the way, cheers for your help.

Am wrapt your mates noticed :-) Doing things differently should achieve a different physique and I'm hoping to not just be onstage as a bigger bodybuilder, but a different bodybuilder.

Cheers GR :-) bit of fat covering it but it's there.

Today was Hammies and Calves, will put yesterday down as Chest day.

Started with Squats and worked up to 5pps and got out 2 reps, sweet.

Will do same as I do for Chest, hit PB for 2 reps, then next time do 2 sets of 2, then 3 sets of 2. Once I can do that I up the weight and go back to 1 set max.

So next Chest workout will have to try 190kg for 2 reps...yayy

Nothing much else going on, SLDL, Standing Leg Curls, calf raises.

Weight 119kg.

Had to buy a new pair of jeans with 40" waist haha. Old ones had worn a hole between legs rubbing together.

good workout today, was Back.

Lower back got pumped quickly but that's the Squats on Saturday and then again yesterday...so just bad luck to have Back due today.

All the Squat racks were taken so I did some seated rows and pulldowns, then more rows until the deadlift area came free.

I did sumo squats which I've never done before and was no problem just took it easy and trying the form out. I am not used to putting the bar down after each rep and resetting myself, am used to the touch and go bodybuilder style.

Nate turned up and I got some advice on the last set @180kg that it's all in the legs and not to lean forward to pick up the bar. Did 2 reps about 1 minute apart while I talked about the form so that's prolly x2 1 rep sets LOL.

Once I get used to resetting the bar on the ground and I'm not doing this after two Leg workouts am sure the weight will go up in leaps and bounds.

Finished off with shrugs with 80kg each arm and cable pulldowns behind the neck, down to the stack.

Am strong as I've ever been and getting good feedback but still a long way to go. It's Week 14 of this cycle and I've crept up to 119.5kg so 120kg is very close.

when i buy pants i get 36 /38 inch only coz i cant get any others over legs and ass, but then i end up with very loose waist.

Sometimes i prefur to wear shorts with a fanny pack :pfft: :pfft: :pfft: :pfft:

Yeah it's pretty close 39" to be exact. Like you I need jeans bigger to fit the Legs but now my waist is creeping up it's the other way around LOL

Am starting to think my goal is to look like my Avatar!

Trained at Anytime Fitness in Ellerslie today. They've taken over the building next door as well and spread out the equipment so it's way more room and not as hot inside.

Still not enough equipment when there's people there the benches are all gone, all 3 of them.Just went to see Steve the manager and say hi and workout Shoulders.

He was showing me this video of a 20 yr old, Aussie guy I think deadlifting 765lbs and snorting heaps of ammonia LOL

Good video to watch if you think your workouts are intense...are they intense as this?

Try close grip bench to a 6" block to develop the weaker aspects of your tri's

Do you mean place hands 6" apart or do you mean go as low as 6" above the chest mate?

stop 6 inches from chest - can use a plank of wood on chest so you don't go lower. Key is to limit engagement of pecs

Today was Quads. 2 PBs today what a workout!

Am splitting Legs so I can get 2 heavy squat sessions in each week plus calves get 2 workouts.

Today worked up to 220kg and got out 2 easy reps so added 10kg each side.

Did a single and racked it, 240kg done and dusted.

Am going to start doing walkouts at end of Squats with a weight I can't squat so I get used to the weight on my back mostly. So will walk out with 6pps at Mondays workout.

Did Hack Squats next starting at 3pps and worked up the plates to pps for 5 reps, then did 7pps for 3 reps, f*ck yeah!. Slightly motivated to go heavy after watching Nelly do 9pps as I arrived...maxed it out.

Then just pumped the Quads with 4 sets of 20 leg extensions which really got blood flowing thru them.

Lastly did Calves on standing raise machine got down to the stack think its 400 or something and did sets of 8 reps.

Feeling great about everything sitting just under 120kg and at the cusp of being too heavy without complications like blood pressure or having to eatbig meals. Last time I got to 118kg was high BP and felt too heavy but 2nd time up here is better, holding less fat too so it's different this time.
